- Lupu Pick was born on January 2, 1886 in Iasi, Iasi, Romania. He was an actor and director, known for The Armored Vault (1926), Die tolle Heirat von Laló (1918) and Die Liebe des Van Royk (1918). He was married to Edith Posca. He died on March 7, 1931 in Berlin, Germany.

- Former stage actor, in films from 1915. Founded his own studio (Rex) in 1917, subsequently directing psychological dramas about ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. His style differed substantially from the macabre, expressionist fantasies prevalent in German cinema at the time. In the mid-1920's, he briefly returned to acting, then made several films in England and France before his untimely death from gastric poisoning in 1931.
