He began his professional acting career at the American Shakespeare
Festival in Connecticut.
He gives one-man performances of the first book of
Homer's "The Illiad" at colleges.
To improve his memory, he began memorizing lines from Homer's "The
Illiad". He has now memorized the entire first book in English (more
than 600 lines), and is working on the rest.
Perhaps best known on TV as the starchy, by-the-book Captain Sloan in M*A*S*H and as the villainous Chronos in the final episode of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.
