Born in 1975 in Mexico City, Ozcar enters cinema in 1995, after two
years working in TV and advertisement. He has collaborated in 25
feature films in the art, production and direction departments.
Ozcar has produced 10 feature films. Most recent productions include
Andrea Martinez's documentary road movie "Ciclo", Arturo Pons' first
feature film "The Compass is Carried by the Dead Man" (Official
Competition at Tokyo 2011, Los Angeles International 2012 and Vancouver
International 2012); Cannes Official Selection "Days of Grace",
directed by Everardo Gout; Alan Jonsson's first film "Morenita", which
obtained 14 international awards; "Cumbia Connection", first film by
Rene Villarreal, Best Film at the Perspectives Section of the Moscow
International FIlm Festival 2008 and winner of Best Film at Saint Jean
de Lux 2008.
He has directed and produced the documentary feature films "9 months 9
days", Official Selection at IDFA 2009, Guadalajara 2010, and La Habana
2010; "Selling Hollywood - Stealling Hollywood", and "Behind the
Shadows" (Best Research, Spiello Documentary Film Festival 2009).
Ozcar has also produced a dozen short films, among them the multiple
award-winning "We are Everywhere", by Sofía Perez Suinaga and "First
Communion", directed by Daniel E. Carrera.
