Fox is developing a pair of miniseries. Or, since "miniseries" is a bad word in television these days, "long-form event series."
The two projects, at least one of which will air in 2014, are "Wayward Pines," a thriller executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan, and "Blood Brothers," about the West Point class of 1861 that was divided by the Civil War.
"'Wayward Pines' and 'Blood Brothers' represent exactly the kind of high-impact, 10- to 12-part events we set out to develop when we entered the limited series business," Fox Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly says. "These two series are the first of many big ideas, big names and big talent that you can anticipate will be on our air in the next 12 to 24 months."
"Wayward Pines" is based on the novel "Pines" by Blake Crouch. Fox name-checks "Twin Peaks" in its description of the story about a Secret Service agent who travels to Wayward Pines,...

I remember Casablanca Records as a child, so this is a great reminder of that fabulous 70s decade!

The story highlights the pair’s height deficiencies and their Odd Couple cohabitation, which, I’m told, kinda sorta emulates their real life friendship. “We became known as best friends who also hated each other,” said Giroux. “I'm a neat-freak who appreciates order and hygiene. Burman is a slob who appreciates chaos at all times. Together, people started referring to us as a modern-day Odd Couple. Striking up a unique friendship and creating a style of comedy Giroux describes as “if The Three Stooges had sex with South Park,” Giroux and Burman produced the twelve episode series.
