- Rolf Randolf was born on January 15, 1878 in Vienna, Austria. He was a director and producer, known for Kronprinz Rudolph oder: Das Geheimnis von Mayerling (1919), The Beggar from Cologne Cathedral (1927) and Rächendes Gift (1919). He died on June 29, 1941 in Vienna, Austria.
- He became fascinated by the film business and in 1916 he not only appeared as an actor in his first movie "Alma mater" (16) but was also the director of it at the same time.
- In 1918 he founded his own film company with the "Rolf Randolf-Film GmbH".
- Besides his activity as a director and actor Rolf Randolf was also busy as a producer and he wrote some screenplays.
- During the sound film era of the 30s he often realised short movies beside feature movies.
- Before he entered the film business he began an career as a military officer in 1897 but already four years later he appeared on stage for the first time. It followed engagements at different theaters in Austria before he also got engagements in Germany as well from 1904.
