Lynda is one of 15, out of nearly 250, candidates to be chosen for the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors Program 2018; and she has over three decades experience working for the Art Department, in particular as the Prop Master on top films and TV shows. Most recently she worked on all three seasons of both True Detective and Stranger Things, as well as working with directors like Gus Van Sant.

The shortlisted folks for fifth annual initiative are Amir Farhang, Charissa Sanjarernsuithikul, Darien Sills-Evans, James Sims, Jeannette Godoy, Kim Nguyen, Leena Pendharkar, Lynda Reiss, Maria Burton, Mel Rodriguez III, Nora Kirkpatrick, Ryan Richmond, Stephanie Martin, Tiffanie Hsu and X.
