The remarkable thing about Brad Pitt, who turns 60 on December 18, isn’t the 85 and counting IMDb acting credits under his belt, although that’s a pretty impressive number.

The edgy screenplay for this flashy, rough-edged ‘lovers, drugs & guns’ saga served to jump-start Quentin Tarantino’s movie career; he’s identified it as his most autobiographical work. Tony Scott slicked up the visuals and ironed out the nonlinear narrative but it’s still a Qt epic through and through. And that cast of suspects is phenomenal: Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Christopher Walken, Bronson Pinchot, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Rapaport, Saul Rubinek, Conchata Ferrell & James Gandolfini.

2015 will most likely go down as the year that the once-taboo became respectable, with both gay marriage and marijuana finding legal and public acceptance nationwide. While the Supreme Court made same-sex marriage legal in all fifty states, the marijuana initiative is having an appropriately slower, but steady climb into legality. That said, we thought we’d take a look at some of cinema’s greatest proponents of the stoner lifestyle, before it all becomes downright conventional.
10. Jeff Spicoli—Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982)
Sean Penn not only became a star with his turn as surfer/stoner Jeff Spicoli in the 1980s’ most iconic teen movie, he established how the stoners of the ‘80s differed from their predecessors: while the rebels of the ‘60s and ‘70s viewed their use of cannabis as a symbol of rebellion, and preferred it to alcohol and the other symbols of their parents’ generation and its decadence,...

Chicago – Beefcake is on parade in the new film “Magic Mike,” about a troupe of male strippers in sunny Florida. The film was partially based on the true life experiences of Channing Tatum, who did perform briefly in his late teens. In the film he is Magic Mike, and Joe Manganiello portrays “Big Dick” Ritchie.
“Magic Mike” is directed by Steven Soderbergh, and although it balances the outrageous male strip shows with some inevitable downfall in the performers, it maintains a feeling of truth and a path beyond the stage. HollywoodChicago.com recently got to talk to the lead actor Channing Tatum and his supporting cast member Joe Manganiello during a promotional swing through Chicago.

Channing Tatum’s career is on fire. Fresh from the success of the “21 Jump Street” remake, he follows up with a personal project in “Magic Mike.” As mentioned before,...

Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike, the film based on experiences Channing Tatum had as an exotic dancer in his youth, is going forward full-steam. The film locked Alex Pettyfer early on to play a young male stripper mentored by 'Magic' Mike Martingano, played by Tatum. Earlier this week [1] the film landed Matthew McConaughey and Matt Bomer as the owner of the club where the characters work, and another male stripper, respectively. Now Riley Keough and True Blood's Joe Manganiello have been added. And there is a rumor that Jessica Biel could be in the cast, too, albeit one that may already be debunked. E!Online [2] reports that Riley Keough (daughter of Lisa Marie Presley) will be Zora, a role that was maybe/maybe not once earmarked for Lindsay Lohan. Zora is the troubled love interest to Alex Pettyfer's character, 'The Kid,' as he's mentored in the ways...
