ABC comedy Fisk, created, written, directed by and starring Kitty Flanagan, follows Helen Tudor-Fisk, a corporate contract lawyer forced to take a job at a shabby suburban law firm specialising in wills and probate.
Helen (Flanagan) is not good with people. When her personal and professional lives implode spectacularly in Sydney, Helen runs home to Melbourne and takes a job at the suburban Gruber & Gruber. Helen is brought in to replace Roz Gruber (Julia Zemiro), a recently-suspended solicitor who has temporarily appointed herself the office manager. No longer allowed to sit in with clients, Roz now has nothing else to do but get all up in Helen’s business.
Ray Gruber (Sheargold), Roz’s brother, hires Helen in a fit of laziness but also because Helen is a ‘mature lady’ which has proven to be the preferred option for clients who are grieving. Unfortunately, Helen is not that kind of mature lady.

The film, an idea of Kavalee’s and friend Josh Lawson, will be broadcast on Saturday 10 November at 9.30pm and later on Ten’s catch up service.
Kavalee told Encore: “It was conceived by myself and Josh Lawson before he got taken under the wing of Will Ferrell.”
“It was made for TV. No one is making comedy telemovies. So I thought let’s give this a go. Ten saw it, loved it and said they’d love to play it,” he said.

Funnyman Robin Williams enlisted the help of an Australian comic to help him "translate" his stand-up show for audiences Down Under.
The Mrs. Doubtfire star headed to the country earlier this month for performances in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
But Williams feared jokes which went down well with American fans might have been lost on Aussie audiences - so he worked with local comic Glenn Robbins to make sure he was properly prepared.
Robbins was introduced to the Hollywood star through another American comedian, Jeff Stilson, and admits he was nervous about giving advice to such a well-known celebrity.
He says, "That was a weird conversation, telling Robin Williams what he should say on stage during his tour of Australia. (Stilson) rang me and said, 'Can you give me a hand? I'm transposing Robin Williams' act for Australia'. Robin rang Jeff and said 'Here's my act. Can you take out the American references and replace them with Australian ones?'."
Robbins reveals he encouraged Williams to take a "risk" and trust his instincts when on stage in Australia.
