“Leverage: Redemption” has been renewed for Season 3, but will be changing platforms. The first two seasons aired on Amazon’s Freevee, but Season 3 will debut on sister streamer Prime Video in 2024 instead.
The move is significant, as “Leverage: Redemption,” a revival of the TNT series “Leverage,” was one of the major scripted titles available on Freevee. The show was ordered to series in 2020, when Freevee was still branded as IMDb TV. Freevee’s biggest scripted series at present is “Bosch: Legacy,” while a spinoff of that show was recently ordered at Prime Video as well.
The first two seasons of “Leverage: Redemption” are currently available to stream on Freevee, as is “Leverage” via Electric Entertainment’s Fast Channel and on-demand.

Though the CW is beginning to pivot much more heavily to reality fare, with “All American” as the only original scripted series on its fall 2023 lineup, the network has added three new scripted projects to its slate for 2024: “Joan,” “The Librarians: The Next Chapter” and “The Swarm.” Additionally, 2024 will see the premieres of unscripted series “Patti Stanger: Millionaire Matchmaking,” “The Force” and “The Great American Bakeover” (all working titles).
All newly announced series are currently in production.
“Joan” stars Sophie Turner (“Game of Thrones”) as Joan Hannington, the notorious real-life jewel thief. Set in 1980s London, the series sees Joan as a devoted mother to her six-year-old daughter, Kelly, while trapped in a disastrous marriage with a violent criminal named Gary. When Gary goes on the run, Joan seizes the opportunity to adopt new identities and embark on a high-stakes journey to create a new life for herself and Kelly.

Syfy’s newest original hit series The Ark has been renewed for a second season. Created by Dean Devlin, The Ark takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race.
The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction and loss of life.
With more than a year left to go before reaching their target planet, a lack of life-sustaining supplies and loss of leadership, the remaining crew must become the best versions of themselves to stay on course and survive.
Co-Showrunners/Executive Producers Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner said in a statement, "We couldn’t be more excited to get back into space with the crew of the Ark. Syfy continues to be an amazing partner and home for this series.

Jesse Lee Soffer has returned home to NBC’s Chicago P.D. but not as Jay Halstead. Instead, he’s making his debut as a director in tonight’s episode “Deadlocked.”
The actor announced in late August his 10-season run on the Dick Wolf drama would conclude, making his final appearance on October 5. News followed weeks later that he would reunite with the cast and crew in the director’s chair.
“Deadlocked” is the continuation of “The Ghost Inside Of You” which aired on February 15.
“This was the perfect episode for me to direct,” Soffer told Deadline during a recent interview. “I love this episode because it was like a throwback episode to old-school Pd with Voight [Jason Beghe] going off the rails, Man on Fire kind of stuff, vigilante stuff, and living in the gray area off the books. The Ark looks like a throwback to the good old days of sci-fi series on Syfy.
The cable network released the first five minutes of the new drama, and we're convinced.
We pick up with a catastrophic event that awakens Lt. Sharon Garnet (Christie Burke) from her slumber.
Unfortunately, the event could lead to a loss of life, and Sharon is ready to go to any lengths necessary to save as many people as possible.
It's a high-stakes situation and one that requires a lot of attention.
There are tears as some of her colleagues lose loved ones, but Sharon has to think about the needs of the many as she battles to make the spaceship liveable, even for a short time.
Created by Dean Devlin, The Ark takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race.

Of all the places to be lost, space is pretty high up on the list of undesirable locations. Becoming adrift in the near-infinite nothingness of the universe is a provocative concept, so much so that one of the most iconic sci-fi TV series ever just went ahead and named itself after it.
Becoming lost in space isn’t the only thing to fear among the stars, however. For instance: what if you know where you’re going but lack the adequate life-sustaining resources to get there? That is the question at the center of Syfy’s next original series, The Ark.
Premiering Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 10 p.m. Et on Syfy, The Ark brings a simple, yet horrifying situation to the table. Per the official Syfy synopsis: “The Ark takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race.

Syfy’s targeting a February 2023 premiere for the new original sci-fi series The Ark from showrunners and executive producers Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner (Stargate Sg-1). The 15-second first teaser doesn’t reveal much about the plot, other than that there appears to be some sort of emergency in space.
Fortunately, Syfy’s synopsis of the series offers much better insight into what’s in store:

Space travel never goes well in sci-fi and horror, and that seems to be the case once more in the eerie first look at Dean Devlin‘s upcoming Syfy series, “The Ark.”
The teaser and first look images, below, hint at a tense bid for survival amidst catastrophe. Dead bodies litter the hall and quick glances at terrified faces indicate the crew on this spacecraft is in for a rough time.
More importantly, it reveals that we can expect this sci-fi nightmare to arrive in February 2023.

Five-time Emmy nominee Noah Wyle stars in the reimagining of Dean Devlin, John Rogers and Chris Downey’s cult 2008 crime drama series Leverage, along with original series cast members Beth Riesgraf, Gina Bellman, Christian Kane and Aldis Hodge.
In Redemption, the rich and powerful take what they want, and the Leverage team has reunited to take them down. Grifter Sophie Devereaux (Bellman), thief Parker (Riesgraf), hitter Eliot Spencer (Kane), and hacker Alec Hardison (Hodge) watched the world change over the last eight years. It had become easier—and sometimes even legal—for the rich to become richer and the powerful to squash anyone who got in their way. “Leverage” returned on Friday in the form of the eight-episode revival, “Leverage: Redemption,” on the streaming service IMDb TV. But Timothy Hutton, whose character Nate Ford served as the center of the original TNT series, does not appear on screen.
“Leverage,” which ran for five seasons on TNT between 2008 and 2012, starred Hutton as a former insurance investigator who becomes the leader of the Robin Hood-esque gang of criminals who steal from the corrupt and powerful to avenge their victims. The original series ended with Nate (Hutton) and his new fiancée Sophie (Gina Bellman) walking away from the criminal life for good, handing the keys to their organization over to the rest of the crew.
The decision to exclude Hutton from the revival came after the Oscar-winning actor was accused of rape last year by former child actress Sera Johnston. Johnston told Buzzfeed that Hutton and a friend raped her at...
