Rufus Sewell’s butt made headlines earlier this year when it was inaccurately reported that he wore a prosthetic butt to play Prince Andrew in Netflix’s “Scoop,” the juicy dramatization of his disastrous interview regarding a friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.
“There’s an account of him wearing bum prosthetics and body prosthetics, but he was literally joking to another journalist,” “Scoop” prosthetic makeup designer Kristyan Mallett told IndieWire. “That is a body double [when you see him naked from behind]. I’m sure loads of people would love to stick on Rufus bum prosthetics, but I didn’t get the luxury this time. Maybe next time.”
But despite the absence of a prosthetic posterior, Mallett and hair and makeup designer Kirstin Chalmers had their hands full. “The two faces are very, very different,” Chalmers told IndieWire. “Andrew’s is very long and Rufus is very chiseled and almost like a diamond shape. Rufus has a very amazing chin,...

Kelly Clarkson took on another iconic hit on Friday’s episode of her talk show. During her Kellyoke segment, the host delivered a cover of Chaka Khan’s Grammy-winning song “Ain’t Nobody” — the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s 1983 track with Rufus from their live album, Stompin’ at the Savoy.

Disney has just announced two new retail locations for the Splash Mountain retheme of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The Critter Co-Op will be where the Briar Patch once occupied. Tiana’s Bayou General will also open in the new area.

Here is a look at the photos.
You can see the characters from the attraction. Rufus and Apollo.
Previously Disney showcased Apollo and Rufus as plush along with Beau the opossum. It makes sense they would be the focus on the store as we know there will be merchandise of them.
The signboard in the window is especially cute!
I especially love the quilting with pine needles and thread.

Those who know who Roland Emmerich is will probably know that the director is known for his epic films, a lot of which are also major disaster films. Some of these major titles include Universal Soldier (1992), Stargate (1994), Independence Day (1996) and its sequel Independence Day: Resurgence (2016), Godzilla (1998), The Patriot (2000), The Day After Tomorrow (2004), 10,000 BC (2008), 2012 (2009), White House Down (2013), Midway (2019), and Moonfall (2022). But, Emmerich is now shifting to television, as his new project is about to be released on Peacock this summer. Ahead of the premiere, a teaser trailer has been released.
The project in question is the epic sword-and-sandal series Those About to Die, which is set in Ancient Rome. The series will be based on the book of the same name by writer and journalist Daniel P. Mannix; interesting enough, the same book served as the basis for Ridley Scott’s epic classic, Gladiator.

Vivian Oparah wants to play The Joker. The 27-year-old star – who was nominated for the Leading Actress BAFTA for her work on ‘Rye Lane’ – has always been “obsessed” with the late Heath Ledger’s depiction of the DC villain in ‘The Dark Knight’ and thinks she’d enjoy the “challenge” of taking on the iconic role. She told Rolling Stone UK: “I’m obsessed with Heath Ledger’s performance.“But I feel like playing a heightened comic book villain who somehow still feels normal, but has the weirdest physicality, would be a real challenge.“I’m often described as ‘the Trickster’, like, that’s my archetype. So, I think I could slip into it really well.”And the ‘Dead Hot’ actress is also keen to take on more “fantastical” roles or a sci-fi project. She said: “I can definitely see myself stepping into more fantastical worlds like the ones Yorgo Lanthimos creates.

Rufus Sewell was determined to portray Prince Andrew "fairly" in 'Scoop'.The 56-year-old actor plays the scandal-hit Duke of York in the Netflix movie about his 'Newsnight' interview regarding his connection to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and set out to give a balanced depiction of the royal.Speaking to the Metro newspaper, Rufus said: "It was resisting the temptation to slant one way or another."In the middle of it is a human being and humans are a strange mixture. People who do good things can be unpleasant, people who are nice can be evil, people who do terrible things can do good things. And people who do great things can occasionally do bad. It's mixed up."(I endeavoured to) put everything, as I saw it, in there, including uncomfortable levels of positivity as well as negativity."Andrew's disastrous 2019 interview with Emily Maitlis is a familiar...

Netflix is debuting its Prince Andrew film Scoop on April 5, with Rufus Sewell starring as the royal, Gillian Anderson as the BBC host whose interview got the prince in trouble and Billie Piper as a booker-producer on the news show. The stars came together in London on Wednesday for the world premiere of the movie to discuss what makes it “a nailbiter” despite its well-known fallout.
Anderson and Sewell recently shared that they initially didn’t want to play their respective parts. Anderson portrays former BBC Newsnight host Emily Maitlis in the film, which provides a behind-the-scenes look into the November 2019 Newsnight interview with Prince Andrew about his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Piper plays Sam McAlister, who used to work for the show behind the scenes.

Which do you prefer when it comes to crazy, maniacal, downright dirty and savage families looking to chop up some grade-a human flesh? Today, we’re going to be discussing, a little bit of comparing, and see who claims victor, while the other takes the road less traveled in 2003’s Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses (watch it Here), and Tobe Hooper’s 1986 follow-up in the Leatherface mythos, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (watch it Here). Death and Other Details Episode 3 added a few more twists and turns to the murder investigation of David/Keith, Rufus’ assistant. Imogen helped Rufus as much as possible before she had to get others involved lest Interpol be notified about her covert activities. We can expect the case will have some more twists and turns, considering it’s just the third episode. There is a lot more hidden in Varuna, and Imogen discovers secret passageways, confirming exactly that. But before all that happened, a few secrets came out in the open, and the facade of a righteous life was shattered. How that would impact the case is yet to be determined. Rufus, meanwhile, had the pleasure of working with Interpol’s ‘best man,’ a woman named Hilde Erikson, as she bulldozed her way into the investigation, trying to get to the truth as quickly as possible.

Death and Other Details is the brand-new Hulu original series in the whodunit genre that follows in the footsteps of Knives Out, Gone Girl, Fargo, Seven, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, True Detective, and Broadchurch. These are probably some of the best crime dramas in which a murderer is a looming figure throughout the runtime while the investigation and questioning happen simultaneously, as many are eager to find out who the killer could be. The Hulu series revolves around a murder that takes place on a cruise liner. Every person associated with the victim is under scrutiny and being treated as a suspect. Each episode unfolds a new facet of each character on board, and the first one is an introduction to the show.

Based on the 19th century’s young criminal gang, led by Rufus Buck, a Black Creek Indian who terrorized the entire Indian territory of Arkansas-Oklahoma, Paul G. Volk came up with his 2024 release, The Night They Came Home. This film is a fictional retelling of a frontier policeman, Heck Thomas, and an Indian detective, Paden Tolbert’s efforts to track down Rufus Buck’s notorious gang and bring them to justice. This film is a very lazy portrayal of a significant part of Native American history that fails to leave any impact on the audience. It isn’t just you. We’re two weeks into the new year and every show on TV has become a murder mystery.
There are reality murder mysteries (Traitors) and animated murder mysteries (Grimsburg) and British murder mysteries (Criminal Record) and occult murder mysteries (Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale). There are murder mysteries without daylight (True Detective: Night Country) and adapted recent murder mysteries (Fool Me Once) and adapted characters in original murder mysteries (Monsieur Spade).
Those are just January premieres. So far. There’ll be at least one more new murder mystery before the end of the week (The Woman in the Wall).
It’s easy to point to the blockbuster success of the two Knives Out movies and the steady success of the Kenneth Branagh/Michael Green-steered Hercule Poirot movies as a business-driven cause.
Sociologically, it’s easy to point to a decade of distrust of institutional policing...

“Memory is a motherfucker,” detective Rufus Cotesworth (Mandy Patinkin) declares in Hulu’s Death and Other Details. Humans, he means, are prone to accidental forgetfulness, self-indulgence, and, on occasion, trauma-driven memory loss. How, then, will Rufus, the so-called “World’s Greatest Detective,” crack a case that relies on both his own and witnesses’ memories over the last 20 years?
The inciting incident is the murder of entitled richling Keith Trubitsky (Michael Gladis) aboard a luxury ocean liner, establishing an Agatha Christie-style closed circle of suspects, as the killer must be on the ship. Trubitsky, it turns out, was invited as a friend of the Colliers, whose family business is on the brink of financial ruin. They chartered the boat as a last-ditch attempt to schmooze potential investors, the Chun family, who’ve hired Rufus to do due diligence.

Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne, Daisy Jones & the Six (Prime Video)
Claflin had no trouble slipping into the intense feelings of ’70s-era singer Billy Dunne. “Emotions were so on the edge for me at the time,” says Claflin. “Previously when I’d shot emotional scenes, I’ve needed a tear stick to help push me over the edge. But on Daisy, I didn’t need one ounce of help.”
For Claflin, it was partially his own divorce that still loomed over him, but also the fact that star-crossed love was not an unfamiliar concept. “I have experienced unrequited love, the chasing and the inability of making certain decisions in certain moments,” he says. “There were so many conversations between Billy and Camila (Camila Morrone), or Billy and Daisy (Riley Keough), that I have experienced firsthand or seen friends go through.”

Who were their picks? That, we won’t find out until Monday’s episode. In the meantime, let’s recap what may have been the KOs’ best night.

This post contains spoilers for the season 1 finale of "Gen V."
"The Boys" has been praised for the way showrunner Eric Kripke and the rest of the writers' room have successfully adapted Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's popular comic book series to more accurately reflect our constantly shifting cultural landscape. Many of the plot points and references are pulled straight from the headlines, with promises that the upcoming season 4 will directly tackle even more real-world themes. Considering season 3 ended with Homelander literally living out the claim of the twice-impeached, found legally liable for sexual abuse and defamation, and feloniously indicted former president Trump's statement "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters," it certainly seems like the show is heading toward dissecting not only the people who will do anything to stop him but also those who have been dangerously radicalized by his actions.

Marie (Jaz Sinclair) survived her first semester at supe college Godolkin University — barely — but it doesn’t look like she’s going into a second one any time soon. As the Season 1 finale of “The Boys” spinoff “Gen V” concludes, Marie and her friends stuck inside some kind of hospital room with no doors and no clue how they got there.
For now, “Gen V” co-showrunner Michele Fazekas is mum on what comes next. “You’ll find out,” she teases, when asked by Variety about where exactly Marie, Andre (Chance Perdomo), Jordan (Derek Luh/London Thor) and Emma (Lizze Broadway) are being held and who is holding them, following that massive battle on the God U grounds.

The first season of The Boys spinoff Gen V is coming to a close this week, and it seems like we’re in for a wild ride as the young supes of God U struggle to decide how to move forward after discovering the true nature of The Woods and its experiments.
With Dean Shetty (Shelley Conn) now dead at Cate’s (Maddie Phillips) behest, the threat of the virus seems to be quelled for now, but that doesn’t mean that Cate’s thirst for vengeance has. In the season finale preview, Cate and Sam (Asa Germann) band together to release the people being held in The Woods and seek justice for the atrocities committed against the young supes of God U. Their friends, however, don’t seem too thrilled by the gleam of violence in their eyes as the campus descends into chaos.

Nothing makes a show worth investing in as much as a great season-long arc.
Starting the season while having no idea what you're in for, slowly discovering what the writers have prepared for you, and then getting an epic conclusion is one of the best feelings.
Gen V Season 1 spent considerable time developing the season-long arc, but on Gen V Season 1 Episode 7, the show abandoned that for other vane pursuits.
Most of what the writers had been trying to keep a secret was revealed apart from the motivations behind Shetty's work in the woods.
We tried to predict what that was in our Gen V Season 1 Episode 6 review; it would seem I was half-right.
She harbored a great disdain for supes, which didn't come as a surprise because destruction is their middle name.
It's not just Homelander. You all leave a path of destruction behind you. You have ruined countless lives.

Heads rolled (well popped) in the latest episode of Gen V, as Prime Videos’s The Boys spinoff delivered an action-packed penultimate episode that tied neatly into its bigger brother. The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke has already confirmed (via EW) that the Gen V finale will include a “handoff” to The Boys season 4, and with some significant cameos during “Sick”, things are starting to come together.
The Gen V trailer teased the return of Claudia Doumit’s Victoria Neuman, with the head-popping politician stopping by Godolkin University to put one of her sinister schemes into play. Having thrown Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito) under the bus in The Boys season 3, she’s now on the way to the White House as a vice presidential candidate. It’s a place where the consequences of past actions are still causing trouble. This episode explores important themes like betrayal, confrontation, and the search for justice.

A version of this response appeared on the Black Rock Coalition’s website.
When Rolling Stone co-founder Jann Wenner made offensive comments in The New York Times about women and Black artists, the Black Rock Coalition, which has battled stereotypes and musical categorizations about what rock is “supposed to be” since 1985, felt obligated to speak out and condemn his misogynistic and racist statements. While we were among many organizations and individuals to call out Wenner, he also had a number of supporters, citing his contributions to popular culture and to the world of music journalism.
