- When working on the pilot for The Bullwinkle Show (1959), he read the entire script to Jay Ward. Of course, he kept changing his voice for each character. After Ward approved the script, he had decided who he wanted to play each character, except Bullwinkle. When Scott asked who was going to play Bullwinkle, Ward replied "Oh, I thought you were!".

- Served on the board of directors and as president of ASIFA-Hollywood, the International Animated Film Society's Hollywood branch,.
- He was considered to voice Lord Duke in Disney's Sleeping Beauty (1959), and recorded two lines that can only be heard in "The Legacy Collection: Sleeping Beauty". He was supposedly replaced by Hans Conried, who was believed to have his pitch speeded up to a higher tone, while his role of King Stefan went to Taylor Holmes.
