“Those DC films are pretty great nowadays, but the trailers for them are just awful.”
That’s an example of a statement that pretty much no one has ever said. You can say many things about Warner Bros and their marketing campaigns for the DC Extended Universe films, but you can’t say that they aren’t solid. With the exception of that second trailer for Batman v Superman, I think it’s safe to state that the marketing has been something of a saving grace for the universe. In fact, some may argue that it’s the reason that Suicide Squad managed to make as much as it did at the box office — those trailers were That good.
As such, DC fans have been waiting on pins and needles to see if Wonder Woman would be any good. Yes, the trailers have been pretty good, but we’ve been...

To say that there’s a lot riding on Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman would probably be the understatement of the year. Aside from having to prove that a female-led comic book movie can work and pull in respectable box office numbers, which is no easy feat, the film also has the unenviable task of getting the DC Extended Universe back on track, after the disappointing Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad.
Thus far, it’s been quite difficult to gauge just how well Wonder Woman will do once it finally blasts into theatres next month. On the one hand, the promotional footage that we’ve been teased with does look promising. There’s also the fact that the character was one of the best parts of Dawn of Justice and Gal Gadot is absolutely dynamite in the role, something which doesn’t look like it’ll change here.

Written by B. John Shaw Liddle | Published by Deadstar Publishing | Format: Paperback, 224pp
Suncaller is the début novel of B. John Shaw Liddle and is definitely a strong start for the author. The story follows Mortimer Hope, a sixteen year old who has earned the nickname ‘Hopeless’ by his friends and enemies…. in fact practically much anyone who knows him. He is barely passing school, he is cowardly, he can’t talk to girls and anything he tries to do he generally ends up failing. So why is it that the fate of two worlds rests on this teenager’s shoulders? And who is the man in the cream suit who tells Mortimer that he plans to murder him?
The protagonist, Mortimer, is a character with whom we can all identify. We all know someone like him, or even have been him ourselves. Struggling academically, he is bullied by peers...
