Hudson River Park Friends will host the 8th Annual Playground Committee Luncheon on March 8.
Who:
Hosted by author and co-host of NBC’s Today, Dylan Dreyer, the afternoon will honor Maria Dueñas Jacobs, Cco and Co-Founder of Super Smalls and Hoda Kotb, author and Co-Anchor NBC’s Today. The Luncheon will feature a live auction and paddle raise led by Harry Santa-Olalla. Additional guests to include: Martha Stewart, Catherine Juracich and others.
Playground Committee Co-Presidents: Wendy Amsterdam, Jenny Miller Dutton and Jill Simpson. Along with Luncheon Co-Chairs: Laura Krey, Hayan Kim Lee, Caroline Bliss Spencer and Megan Stackhouse.

Do we finally have the last word on Terrence Malick’s upcoming film, Tree Of Life?
According to The Oklahoman (via The Playlist), not only did producer Nicolas Gonda apparently confirm that Tree Of Life will be hitting theaters “by the end of the year,” but we also got some interesting news on Malick’s next film, starring Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams. After revealing that there was an open casting call for “actors and extras to be considered for speaking and nonspeaking roles in an upcoming family oriented Hollywood romantic drama to be/ filmed in Oklahoma,” Oklahoma Film & Music Office director Jill Simpson said Malick’s next film would begin shooting in September, instead of October.

Lawrence "Larry" Gordon got his first producing credit 37 years ago. His productions have included such blockbusters as "48 Hrs.," "Die Hard" and "Watchmen," so he was a natural to fill in when a panelist dropped out of "Producing Blockbusters," one of more than two dozen panels at the Producers Guild of America's Produced By 2010 Conference during the weekend at Fox Studios.
Gordon was joined by industry veterans Mark Johnson and Richard Zanuck, who noted they were in an auditorium named after his father, legendary studio boss Darryl F. Zanuck.
It soon was clear that when producers talk among themselves, the conversations get candid. A frustrated Gordon said it's rougher than ever before being a top Hollywood producer.
"I've had some really bad experiences on the last two or three movies," he said. "I've just about had enough. It's pretty tough. I don't like it."
