I had the displeasure of having to both watch and review director Sean Skelding’s previous movie—the steaming pile of crap a.k.a. I Am Virgin (click here to read my scathing critique)—and concluded my assessment by writing, “I Am Virgin? Not anymore. After seeing this dismal film, I feel like I’ve been f**ked.” Well, I’m still a virgin (I’m 35 and saving myself for a nice girl who doesn’t mind a guy who is balding, weighs more than Val Kilmer after a hot-dog-eating contest, has fewer teeth than a 6-month-old and collects Happy Meal toys), but, boy, I feel like I’ve been f**ked again. Yup, Skelding has made another abominable film, Stripperland. And, yup, I have to review it. Man, I really wish that Rapture apocalypse had taken place on May 21…...

Imitation is the sincerest (and cheapest) form of flattery.
If there's anything that proves the success of Zombieland, it's the fact that it's getting a low-budget parody. This time, however, National Lampoon is nowhere to be found, nor are the Wayans family.
Instead it's Cheezy Flicks Productions and filmmaker Sean Skelding with a movie called Stripperland. The movie stars Ben Sheppard, Maren Mcguire, Ileana Herrin, Jamison Challeen, with cameos from Daniel Baldwin, Thom Bray, Linnea Quigley, Boyd Banks, and Troma CEO Lloyd Kaufman. Gilbert Gottfried reportedly turned down a role.
According to Wizbang Pop!, the movie sports a $300,000 budget and will be released on February 22, 2011, concurrently on DVD and 160 theaters. Stripperland is shooting in Vancouver with Baldwin reportedly uttering the line "They won’t eat me, because they have to stop and strip," which Wizbang called "the best movie line of the year" in a fit of hyperbolic exaggeration.

While the Asylum was right out of the gate with their I Am Legend knockoff, I Am Omega, director Sean Skelding was meticulously planning a spoof. Now, after two years, I Am Virgin is nearly upon us. Seriously.
From today’s press release:
I Am Virgin is a spoof of I Am Legend, the 2008 science fiction release starring Will Smith. In I Am Virgin, Portland actor Adam Davis plays Robby, the last uninfected man standing in a world ravaged by a virus that has transformed all of humanity into horny, sex-crazed vampires. And as the title suggests, Robby is a virgin.
You’ll be able to catch the horror spoof from January 29th to February 3rd at the Clinton Street Theater in Southeast Portland before a DVD and cable release. What’s next for Sean Skelding, you might be asking? Stripperland, of course. That’s a take off on Zombieland in case you were wondering.
