- Richard R. St. Johns was born on January 30, 1929 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was a producer and production manager, known for The Final Countdown (1980), The Wanderers (1979) and Dead & Buried (1981). He died on October 28, 2006 in Newport Beach, California, USA.
- Son of Adela Rogers St. Johns.
- Graduated from Stanford Law School and practiced law until 1968 when he became president of Filmways that year.
- Left Filmways in 1972 and founded the Film Financing Group in 1975.
- Teamed with writer/producer Eric Bercovici to form Bercovici/St. Johns Productions in the early 1980s, he later founded SBS Broadcasting in 1990 and served as its president until his retirement in 1994.
