Peggy Stuart(1913-1981)

Composer, songwriter and pianist, she studied with Raymond Robinson,
Quincy Porter, Heinrich Gebhard, and Russell Cook. She founded and
directed the Junior League Orchestra in Boston for seven years. In
1964, she performed on tour in Prague, Warsaw, Moscow and Bucharest.
Joining ASCAP in 1958, her popular-song and instrumental compositions
include "Twilight City", "Moon Passing Behind the Clouds", "Smoky
Eyes", "I Need That Girl Around", and "Melody Out of the
Night".
