- She was educated at Cullerrcoats Ballet School until she was 18 and it was there, when a youngster, that someone from a film company turned up looking for a young girl for a film to be made in the area and picked her for the part in 'Life For Ruth'. When she was 18 she went to college and learned languages and secretarial skills. She married a master baker, becoming Lynn Wedderburn and had 3 children then retrained as a primary school teacher, teaching at Langley Street First School in Monkseaton.near Whitley Bay,. and also taught dancing and piano.
