- In 1957, she was the first Norwegian actress to appear naked on film, filmed at an appropriate distance as the blonde in the American Blondine i fare (Blonde In Bondage). The film has a certain cult status in the US and was released on DVD in 2003.
- Her grandson is singer and music artist Rasmus Thall.
- Personal problems, mentioned in the autobiography 'Veien mot nord' (1978), caused her to more or less retire in the mid-60s, but living in Northern Norway she made local appearances, especially radio and church concerts, and appeared from time to time on TV, especially in Egil Teiges cabaret-style programs, i.a. It was whispered that she feared a bad result and therefore did not go. Thallaug was asked to replace Brockstedt and took the first of 9 last places for Norway, she had 0 points.
- Thallaug was the Norwegian contestant in the Eurovision Song Contest 1963, with the song "Solhverv", where she finished 13th (last). She was the first of four Norwegian entrants to score no points in the competition.
- Under the name Vesla Rolfsen, at the age of seven, she was performing at the Spider theatre in Oslo.
