Andy Muschietti's recent superhero flick "The Flash" hoped to lure in audiences with a sprawling story that spans several parallel universes. It was the same approach taken by John Watts in "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and Sam Raimi in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," in that all three films assembled multiple versions of certain superhero characters culled from various extant movie franchises. "The Flash" contains the Ben Affleck version of Batman as he appeared in Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," as well as the Michael Keaton version of Batman as he appeared in Tim Burton's 1989 film called merely "Batman." The Flash, he finds, can run so fast that he can travel into alternate timelines.

With the fifth season of “The Crown” still in production, the prospect of Netflix winning a second consecutive Best Drama Series Emmy this year hinges on other serious shows in its library, such as the recently concluded “Ozark.” Given the crime thriller’s status as the streamer’s ninth most-watched English language series ever, the team behind it are looking to score a farewell haul that reflects its popularity. Recently, actor/director/executive producer Jason Bateman, executive producer/writer Chris Mundy, actress Julia Garner, production designer David Bomba, music supervisor Gabe Hilfer, cinematographer Shawn Kim and editor Cindy Mollo sat down with 2022 Emmys FYC panel moderator Jimmy Kimmel to talk about the work that went into closing the “Ozark” book. Watch the video Q&a above.
Series star Bateman exuded his usual amount of charm as he mused about the years-long process of getting to know his character, Marty Byrde.

Netflix's latest original movie is a brutal, wince-inducing horror that follows in Jordan Peele's footsteps.
It didn’t take long for the arrival of the first post-Peele horror smash. The influence of the American director looms large over The Perfection, with Richard Shepard’s brutal puzzler arriving with a murderous glint in its eye and a bloody knife clamped in its fist.
When former cello prodigy Charlotte’s (Allison Williams) mother dies after a long illness, she heads to Shanghai to meet Anton (Steven Weber), the head of her alma mater, the Bachoff Academy of Music. Anton and his wife Paloma (Alaina Huffman) console Charlotte and ask her to help judge potential new students with Lizzie (Logan Browning), Charlotte’s replacement at Bachoff.
After the pair watch a frisson-filled student audition performance, they go clubbing and have sex. During the hungover morning after, Charlotte agrees...

Oscar Issac and Ben Affleck star in Jc Chandor's watchable Netflix actioner, Triple Frontier, but we've seen a lot of it before.
This review comes from Den of Geek UK.
Another Jc Chandor film, another potted take on masculinity in crisis. Margin Call (2011) was about crooked Wall Street traders, All is Lost (2013) concentrated on a solo sailor fighting a losing battle against the ocean and A Most Violent Year (2014) concerned a harassed businessman’s territorial struggles against mobsters and rivals. While these films are all of a fine standard, Jessica Chastain’s performance in the latter aside, there’s rarely a meaningful role for a woman.
Now, Chandor turns his gaze towards South America and what sleazy Carter Burke in Aliens would undoubtedly call “very tough hombres”: a crew of five former Us special forces soldiers who plan to steal many millions of dollars from a drug lord in an unnamed country.
