(1965) Unsold pilot: Directed a pilot for a television series called "See Here Private Hargrove", which was based on producer Marion Hargrove's true-life difficulties adapting to military life in World War II. NOTE: Hargrove's experiences had already been made into two films, See Here, Private Hargrove (1944) and What Next, Corporal Hargrove? (1945)--both of which had been directed by Thorpe's father, Richard Thorpe.
(1966) Unsold pilot: Produced a sitcom pilot about an American officer during WW2 (played by Jeremy Slate) who was ordered to lead a motley crew of Italian partisans behind German lines.
