- Alexander Toluboff was born in 1882 in Lublin, Poland, Russian Empire [now Lublin, Lubelskie, Poland]. He was an art director and production designer, known for Stagecoach (1939), Vogues of 1938 (1937) and Algiers (1938). He was married to Theodora MacManus. He died on July 1, 1940 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, USA.

- Russian-born Toluboff had studied architecture in St. Petersburg in the early 1900's. He joined MGM in 1926 as a unit art director. From 1935, he worked for independent producer Walter Wanger at Paramount and United Artists as supervising art director, until his death in 1969.
