There’s just something so special about Star Trek, and that continues with the multiple series of the franchise on now, including the animated Prodigy. Voice cast members Kate Mulgrew (Kathryn Janeway), Brett Gray (Dal), and Jameela Jamil (Ensign Asencia) sat down with Andrea Towers in TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine’s studio at New York Comic Con 2022 to tease its return on October 27. Mulgrew attributes fans’ reactions to their series to the legacy of the franchise, calling it “fairly predictable but wonderful nonetheless because it’s so astonishingly good and the message is so hopeful in a time that is arguably rather bleak.” Jamil grew up with Star Trek, and with “so many hidden messages around race, around class, around people’s behavioral differences, about love, about learning how to put your differences aside and work together, all messages that we seem to need now more than ever,...

The Peripheral arrives on Prime Video on October 21, and the cast — Chloë Grace Moretz, Gary Carr, T’Nia Miller, and JJ Feild — had a chance to talk about the show ahead of its premiere. Andrea Towers sat with them in the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine New York Comic Con 2022 suite to discuss what attracted them to the sci-fi series, memorable moments on set, and who would survive the series’ virtual setting in real-life. “For me, it was William Gibson, Jonathan Nolan, and Lisa Joy — those are three incredibly hard hitters in sci-fi,” Moretz said about why she joined the cast. Author William Gibson wrote the 2014 novel of the same name, while Nolan and Joy (creators of Westworld) serve as executive producers of The Peripheral. The series follows Flynne (Moretz) and Burton (Jack Reynor) seeking out a living in their Blue Ridge Mountains community by beating levels of simulation video games for high-paying customers.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power finale trailer was debuted at New York Comic-Con 2022 on October 7, and the cast stopped by TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine’s Nycc suite to dish on the revealing trailer and the season at large. In the video interview, above, Charles Edwards (Celebrimbor), Sara Zwangobani (Marigold “Goldie” Brandyfoot), Nazanin Boniadi (Bronwyn), and Leon Wadham (Kemen) tell Andrea Towers what it’s like to finally be able to talk about show details, the delight of seeing fan reactions, theories, and cosplays, and what to expect from The Rings of Power finale next week. To no one’s surprise, the details they could share about the finale are few. In fact, there’s barely any footage from the finale in the trailer itself — it’s mostly made up of epic moments from Episodes 1-7. But what Prime Video did share is rather exciting for book fans.

‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Cast on ‘Kirk Pre-Kirk,’ Vulnerable Uhura & More in Season 2 (Video)
The Star Trek: Strange New Worlds cast might not have been able to say much about Season 2 at 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, but it’s a safe bet that it’s going to be a fun ride — and not just because of the crossover with Lower Decks! Anson Mount (Captain Christopher Pike), Ethan Peck (Science Officer Spock), Paul Wesley (Lieutenant James T. Kirk), Celia Rose Gooding (Nyota Uhura), and Christina Chong (La’an Noonien-Singh) sat down with Andrea Towers in the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine studio, sponsored by Hollywood unBranded, to tease the upcoming second season, including that aforementioned crossover. Lower Decks‘ Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid will be playing live-action versions of their characters, Ensign Beckett Mariner and Ensign Brad Boimler. “Being a part of that episode was like watching stand-up comedy for free every day,” Chong said, also noting that while they were filming, the cast saw...

Everything has changed on Mayans M.C. The Season 4 finale left a war brewing between the brothers and gave the show “a palpable change,” according to star Sarah Bolger (Emily Galindo). Speaking with Andrea Towers at the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine studio, sponsored by Hollywood unBranded, during San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Bolger, Jd Pardo (Ez Reyes), Clayton Cardenas (Angel Reyes), and Danny Pino (Miguel Galindo) explained what the Mayans M.C. Season 4 finale means for their characters heading into Season 5. In the finale, Ez shocked everyone when he successfully unseated Alvarez as club president and appointed himself in his place. A final, tense exchange between Ez and Angel ended with the former telling his brother, “If you are not on this train, please walk away, or it’ll run right over you,” to which Angel responds, “Is that a threat?” He didn’t get a reply. “That scene where the two...

As the Evil cast reminded us, evil exists in the world, and their Paramount+ series just puts a demonic twist on it. Stars Katja Herbers (Kristen), Aasif Mandvi (Ben), and Christine Lahti (Sheryl) sat down with Andrea Towers in the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine studio, sponsored by Hollywood unBranded at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 to celebrate the recent Season 4 renewal and share what they’d like to see, plus tease the remaining episodes of Season 3. Maarten de Boer Of course the question on everyone’s mind is what’s going to happen between Kristen and David (Mike Colter), who kissed in the Season 2 finale but subsequently decided not to go further … well, except for what has happened between David and demon Kristen. “We’ll continue on this slow burn kind of a path. I think they are two people who do really love each other and have also respect...

“How hard is it to reunite with this man, seriously, right? He’s like catnip to women,” said Gates McFadden, reprising her role as Dr. Beverly Crusher opposite Patrick Stewart’s Jean-Luc in Star Trek: Picard‘s final season. “It was great, great fun, and I loved doing it. As much as we love that Picard is staging a major The Next Generation reunion, it can’t match how happy Stewart and McFadden were when talking about being back together at San Diego Comic-Con with Andrea Towers in the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine studio, sponsored by Hollywood unBranded. They also teased what to expect from the end of the series and reflected on the endurance of the franchise. Maarten de Boer The characters will be seeing each other again after 25 years, and now, Dr. Crusher is “older and wiser — we hope — and just as argumentative as always,” McFadden shared.

“I don’t think Star Trek will ever die,” declared Rod Roddenberry, son of Trek creator Gene Roddenberry. Along with Trevor Roth of Roddenberry Entertainment, Rod sat down with Andrea Towers in the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine studio, sponsored by Hollywood unBranded at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 to discuss the franchise’s enduring legacy and how long they see it continuing. While Rod Roddenberry “grew up around it” because his father created it, he admitted he didn’t “really get” it right away. But once he did, he attended conventions and heard from fans about how the franchise had such a positive effect on their lives. “Whatever it was that made them feel cast out or not accepted, Star Trek was that gateway that allowed them to believe in a better future,” the CEO explained. “It also showed the idea of Idic — infinite diversity from infinite combinations — and it...

When Teen Wolf returns for the upcoming Paramount+ film, some things change — “Scott McCall has a buzzed head!” Tyler Posey excitedly exclaimed to TV Insider of his werewolf — while others do not (the cast is still a family and feels the love from fans). Posey, along with fellow returning star Tyler Hoechlin (who plays Derek Hale) and creator Jeff Davis sat down with Andrea Towers in the TV Insider and TV Guide Magazine video suite, sponsored by Hollywood unBranded, at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 to discuss returning to Beacon Hills for Teen Wolf: The Movie. So why was now the right time to jump back into this world? “The studio wanted it,” Davis admitted, with Posey adding, “I wouldn’t stop bugging him about it.” The truth is that it’s something all three always wanted to do; it was just a matter of when and finding the right story. And for Davis,...

There’s a big reunion that Marvel fans are waiting to see in Avengers: Endgame: the reconciliation between Iron Man and Captain America. The latest trailer which arrived today still didn’t deliver that but, in its place, we got another emotional reunion between two super-friends that we didn’t know would hit us so hard.
We’re talking about Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton, those two old S.H.I.E.L.D. buddies whose friendship predates their adventures in the McU. There were two scenes in the new trailer that made it clear how much they care for each other and are there for their friend in this dark time. And fans certainly did not cope well with the heartbreak they caused.

Earlier this morning, Marvel nearly broke the internet when they dropped the very first trailer for Captain Marvel. Ever since EW’s big blowout of photos, plot details and more earlier this month, fans have beyond eager to see some footage from the upcoming release and let’s just say that what the studio gave us did not disappoint.
Though it was a bit on the short side, the preview was packed with intriguing teases of what’s to come while firmly establishing Carol Danvers as one of the McU’s most exciting characters – even from just the brief bit of footage we saw of her. Not only that, but there were also glimpses of a young Phil Coulson and Nick Fury, along with some hints at the titular hero’s wild powers and abilities.
All in all, it was a perfect first look at the film and now, the internet’s reacted.

Sunday marks the return of HBO's The Newsroom, a series that isn't exactly known for being subtle—especially in its first season, which featured a memorable scene set to Coldplay's "Fix You." Lanford Beard, staff editor: Between all its walk-and-talks, Network rip-offs, and "women be klutzy" gags, The Newsroom's first season actually took on a few actual news events,...
