Jessica Simpson managed to give her hubby a sweet, sexy and funny birthday shout out on Instagram today. The blond beauty posted a stunning black and white photograph of herself (getting a little cheeky, if we might add) with Eric Johnson, whose special day is today, and captioned the snapshot with what initially seemed like a generic birthday message, but ended it in a way that was just perfect. "Happy Birthday Eric Johnson!!!," she begins. "Thank you for giving me the sexiest porn star name. Love, your wife, Jessica Johnson." It's so funny, because it's true! Speaking of such, um, things, Simpson recently spoke out about deciding against getting a breast...

Life is a little bit easier for a blind toddler thanks to some retail workers who have been referred to as "angels on Earth." Two-year-old Silus Johnson from Fort Worth, Texas, is living with Norris Disease, which is a rare genetic disorder that delays muscle development and, in the case of male infants like Silus, leads to blindness. Silus has already grown too big for traditional walkers, and like most young children who require prosthetics or other aids to get around, he needed something that could grow with him. It was Silus's great-grandfather who initially made contact with the Home...

“Can You Dig This” tracks the natural cycle of a garden’s growth, and pairs it with the man-made roadblocks capable of cutting it short. Such a timeframe means an extensive period of prep and execution in the company of four South Los Angeles groups and individuals — all dedicated to urban gardening in their own way. It's incredible how much director Delila Vallot (“Tunnel Vision”) observes through the inspiring crew she follows. It’s a truly diverse cast of characters at play in and around Compton, California, and the only one who embraces the gardening cause full force is also the youngest. Quimonie Lewis is an eight-year-old with four sisters and a father, Randy, who serves as president of the Compton housing project where they live. Quimonie’s fiercely determined personality finds an on-site community garden as the answer to three troubles in her life: her father’s health troubles due to an all-meat diet,...

I was alerted to this by one of the stars of the series, Delila Vallot (a writer/director in her own right, whose last feature film, Tunnel Vision, we highlighted last fall). It's a new sci-fi web series directed by Carl Weathers (yes, Action Jackson himself), from a script by written by Art Washington and Zachary Waterfire, starring Harry Lennix, and Ms Vallot, who describes it as "sort of Twilight Zone meets Lost." I don't have an official synopsis for it, but maybe that's by design. You'll just have to discover it all for yourself. But hopefully the talent involved is enough to intrigue you. This is episode 1, which was all shot in one night. Watch it below: Always Night from...

Tagline: "Step into the darkness." Tunnel Vision is a revenge thriller from director Delila Vallot. This title has been in the production stage for over seven years as Vallot attempted to make a gritty urban tale. She accomplished this task by forgoing the usual CGI gore in favour of quick cuts and edits. Vallot used 16mm film, while draining some of the colour from the film. The film's trailer shows some of the graininess in the title as Tunnel Vision moves towards a looming release date. Osiris Entertainment will release this title on DVD January 22nd and Tunnel Vision has a thrilling story. This tale deals with a serial killer and a father seeking vengeance for the murder of his family. Gabriel (Cristos) must descend into a bleak world to find and capture this depraved murderer. The film's official trailer awaits below! Release Date: January 22nd, 2013. Director: Delila Vallot. Writers: Scott Barry and Cristos.

To kicks things off is Delila Vallot (photo above, on set) whose feature film, a thriller called Tunnel Vision, will be making its world premiere at the festival; a trailer for Tunnel Vision follows underneath Delila's story, which is immediately below: I’m a fan of reaching an audience with old school suspense. I’m not against blood and gore, it’s...
