- Dusan Vukotic was born on February 7, 1927 in Bileca, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia. He was a director and writer, known for Visitors from the Arkana Galaxy (1981), Operation Stadium (1977) and Igra (1962). He died on July 8, 1998 in Krapinske Toplice, Croatia.
- First animator from former Yugoslavia (Montenegrin from Bosnia and Herzegovina, living and working in Croatia) to win an Oscar (and also the first foreigner to do so). One of the best animators of Zagreb Film (Croatian film-producing company from Zagreb, founded in 1953) animation style, better known as "Zagreb school of animation".
