He was engaged again for numerous movies during the 30s and he worked for many popular movies of those years.
His film career ended with the outbreak of World War II and a few later he left Germany and went to Switzerland. He returned to Germany in 1947.
The production designer Hermann Warm finished an education at the school of arts before he began his professional career as a stage painter.
He was able to continue his film career successfully after the war.
Warm also worked with Danish film director Carl Theodor Dreyer on films including The Passion of Joan of Arc and Vampyr.
The height of his film career followed in the 20s beginning with the classic "Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari" (1920).
