- Aruth Wartan was born on June 23, 1880 in Nakhichevan, Russian Empire [now Azerbaijan]. He was an actor and producer, known for Siegerin Weib (1918), Vom Rande des Sumpfes (1919) and Die Rache des Bastards (1919). He died on April 14, 1945 in Berlin, Germany.
- In the Nazi era he played small roles, particularly Russians, in propaganda films such as Attack on Baku (1942).
- Aruth Warthan was married with the actress Lu Synd.
- Around the turn of the century he briefly lived in Japan before relocating to St. Petersburg.
- The height of Aruth Wartan's career followed in the 20's where he impersonated numerous roles in popular productions.
- He graduated from high school in 1898 in Tbilisi, Georgia, and then briefly studied medicine in Kharkov (now in Ukraine).
