- Harrold Weinberger was born on December 4, 1899 in New York, USA. He was an assistant director and production manager, known for The Last Voyage (1960), Hell to Eternity (1960) and That Girl (1966). He died on February 6, 1997 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
- Member of the Marine Combat Correspondents Association, and the US Combat Cameramen Association.
- MSgt Weinberger was presented the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star Medal by the US Marine Corps for risking extraordinary danger in filming the Iwo Jima landing during WWII. From 43-45 Hal was with the 4th Division Marines, the staff noncommissioned officer in charge of the G2 photographic section. Under his charge they photographed the raising of the American flag in Ima Jima. Major Weinberger retired from the Marine Reserves in 1962.
