Bruce Weiss grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He started his career
raising the financing and producing the early films of Hal Hartley
including "The Unbelievable Truth", "Trust" and "Simple Men". He produced the film version of Sam Shepards "Curse Of The Starving Class" as well as "Side Streets", one of the only Merchant/Ivory productions not directed by Merchant or Ivory. He is considered an expert in the field of international co-production and finance. He has worked with partners all over Europe and Canada. He recently remade three Dutch films in English starring and directed by Steve Buscemi, Stanley Tucci and John Turturro. He is a frequent participant, panelist and speaker at various international co-production platforms and also speaks at festivals and film schools in the U.S and abroad.
