Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog became a huge hit in 2008 from Joss Whedon's Mutant Enemy Productions.
Starring Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, and Felicia Day in a three-part romantic comedy musical web series, Whedon claims to have earned more from Dr. Horrible than from writing the first Avengers film. Fans swear by Dr. Horrible, and we think you should too.
The series aired in three parts, creating an iconic miniseries that we know and love today. The show combines the perfect mix of heart, comedy, and star power to create a cult classic that has expanded into a series beyond a cult classic -- it's the true epitome of geek culture.
The series follows the eponymous evil villain, Dr. Horrible, through his quest to join the Evil League of Evil and win the heart of his crush, Penny.

"Claire was complicated... she was dangerous." Saban Films has debuted the new official theatrical trailer an indie drama titled Come and Find Me, a mysterious thriller about a missing woman. The first trailer we posted for this, which is actually even longer than this one below, was just a teaser - this is the final full trailer. Aaron Paul stars in this, with Annabelle Wallis, Garret Dillahunt, Valerie Tian, Zachary Knighton and Terry Chen. When his girlfriend goes missing, David tracks down her whereabouts after he realizes she's not who she was pretending to be. This film seems to turn into some kind of violent action thriller in the second half, which makes me a little bit concerned, but you never know - it still might be good. Here's the new official trailer (+ poster) for Zack Whedon's Come and Find Me, direct from YouTube: David (Aaron Paul) and Claire...

Come And Find Me endears in a very Charlie Countryman kind of way (if Shia’s flick was your thing), where love motivates a regular Joe to throw himself to the proverbial lions. Think Mr. And Mrs. Smith, except only the wife is an assassin, and the husband is nothing but urban camouflage (aka cover). Writer/Director Zack Whedon never loses the reality that his graphic-designing hero is in completely over his head, and makes a better thriller for it. It’s still very monotone and a bit predictable, but Whedon stays true to the foolish things love makes us do, from challenging mercenaries to investigating government conspiracies – even when you aren’t Jason Bourne.
Aaron Paul stars as David, a boyfriend who wakes up one morning to find his girlfriend Claire (Annabelle Wallis) missing. No note, no fight the night before, no suspected cheating – just an empty bed and no answers.

Here's the first trailer for Come and Find Me, an intense-looking new thriller starring Aaron Paul and Annabelle Wallis. Paul plays a guy who tries to track down his girlfriend when she abruptly goes missing, and though it sounds like a relatively boilerplate plot synopsis, this looks like a cool neo noir mystery. Considering Paul's track record on the big screen since Breaking Bad ended (remember Need For Speed?), it's great to finally see him in a movie that looks really good.
Come and Find Me is written and directed by Zack Whedon, and it hits theaters and On Demand on November 11, 2016.

Indie drama Come and Find Me has today unveiled its first teaser trailer, sending Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul off on a wild goose chase in a bid to find his missing girlfriend (Peaky Blinders‘ Annabelle Wallis) who has vanished without rhyme or reason.
Written and directed by Zack Whedon (Halt and Catch Fire, Fringe), the mystery thriller begins by introducing David (Paul) and Claire’s (Wallis) picture-perfect relationship. Everything is rosy, and it isn’t long before the pair fall deeply and madly in love. One day, David senses trouble in paradise, before discovering that his significant other has disappeared without so much of a warning. Crushed, Aaron Paul’s protagonist scrambles across town, though slowly but surely the mysteries that he uncovers leads him to believe that Claire has been masking a double life all along.

After leaving Jesse Pinkman behind, Aaron Paul is still trying to find his footing in the world of features. Thus far, his independent fare has proved to be more substantial than his studio offerings, so thankfully next on the docket is the small-scale drama Come and Find Me, which comes from writer-director Zack Whedon (Halt and Catch Fire, Fringe, Deadwood, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog).
The story follows Paul’s character as his significant other disappears. As he embarks on the trail of missing clues, a mystery unfolds. With the writing skills of the Whedon family on display, hopefully this is a nice surprise in just a few weeks when it gets released. Also starring Annabelle Wallis and Garret Dillahunt, check out the trailer below.

But his mission is given even more impetus when he realises that she has been lying to him, and pretending to be someone she’s not.Whedon – part of the scriptwriting family factory that also boasts Joss, Jed and Maurissa Tancharoen – wrote the script a few years ago, and saw it hit the 2012 Black List. While that’s not always the most reliable arbiter of screenplay quality these days, at least in terms of the finished products, Whedon has a solid reputation in writing TV and earned praise...

Captain Sully: Tom Hanks is in talks to play Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger for director Clint Eastwood. The movie is not yet officially titled, but is based on the book Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters by Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow. [Deadline] Come and Find Me: Aaron Paul (Need for Speed) will star in Come and Find Me. Zack Whedon has written the screenplay and will make his directorial debut. Zack Whedon is set to make his directorial debut with thriller Come And Find Me.
Whatever they used to have over the Whedon family breakfasts back in the day, they should bottle it. Joss Whedon you know all about, Jed Whedon too has been producing Agents Of Shield and Dollhouse. And of course there's Zack Whedon too, who is set to direct the upcoming movie, Come And Find Me.
Zack Whedon has, as you likely know, already written for the likes of Deadwood, Fringe and Southland, and there was the small matter of Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. For his directorial debut, he's telling the story of a man who's hunting his missing ex-girlfriend, having discovered that she's not quite who he thought.
For the lead in his movie, Whedon has recruited Aaron Paul, who continues to build his post-Breaking Bad career. The screenplay for the film, that Whedon also wrote,...

Zack has previous experience working on Deadwood and Fringe.
Meanwhile, Paul has recently been cast in Hulu series The Way, which follows a family involved in a controversial religious movement.
He was also forced to apologise to Breaking Bad fans after hinting on Twitter the show would be returning before revealing it was a prank.

Halt and Catch Fire, Season 1, Episode 8: “The 214s”
Directed by Daisy von Scherier Mayer
Written by Dahvi Waller & Zack Whedon
Airs Sundays at 10pm Est on AMC
This is getting to be a frustrating pattern. Each time Halt and Catch Fire seems like it’s on the right track it airs an episode like ‘The 214s”, illuminating everything that’s ludicrous and boring and stupid about the show. The “Cameron and Bosworth hack a bank” plot is terrible for many reasons. First of all, none of it is shown onscreen. Maybe the writers think the surprise of watching the police raid Cardiff distracts viewers from questioning if any of it makes sense. Because it’s one thing for a cocky young hacker to want to impress her boss by doing something dumb. But it takes an incredible suspension of disbelief to buy that a businessman like John Bosworth, who has been shown as professional,...

Halt and Catch Fire, Season 1, Episode 6: “Landfall”
Directed by Larysa Kondracki
Written by Zack Whedon
Airs Sundays at 10pm Est on AMC
If last week’s Halt and Catch Fire built up some momentum by focusing on the show’s strengths – computer talk and over-the-top drama – this episode drains the life out of itself by keeping those things to a minimum. Instead we get lots of character exploration and symbolism. “Landfall” opens on Joe and Cameron in bed, never a good sign. She asks him about his scars, and he lies, and she knows he’s lying. Great. We already know Joe is a liar, and we still don’t learn the truth about his scars until the final scene. Apparently this story, about his mother doing drugs and letting go of him on a roof so he falls three stories into a fence, is the truthful, correct story.

Pencilled by Georges Jeanty

Published by Dark Horse Comics
For lack of a better term, Serenity #6 is a comfort food for a Firefly fan. It is full of snarky dialogue, a pack of underdogs saving the day once again, aerial maneuvers, gun battles, and most of all, the crew of Serenity coming together as a family. Zack Whedon continues to have a deft handle on all the main cast members’ voices while also developing the newcomers Bea, the leader of the New Resistance and Iris, who was trained by the Alliance to be an assassin like River. For the most part, Whedon doesn’t put many plot twists in this comic, but opts to cement old relationships between characters. Serenity Leaves on the Wind #4
Written by Zack Whedon
Pencilled by Georges Jeanty

Published by Dark Horse Comics
Serenity: Leaves on the Wind #4 is a better paced comic than the previous issue in the miniseries. Writer Zack Whedon manages to include the planning and execution of Mal and the Operative’s plan to rescue River’s fellow Academy members into twenty-four pages of story while also filling the comic with the character interactions that made Firefly such an endearing television show. The Operative’s involvement in Mal’s rescue plan isn’t met with silence. Each crew member of Serenity gets a little conversation about him, and artist Georges Jeanty does a good job showing the various characters’ reactions and feelings about his arrival. His art is detailed in Serenity #4 with little touches that evoke the show Firefly or foreshadow ominous things for our big damn heroes.

Sometimes Serenity: Leaves on the Wind #3 is very good. Artist Georges Jeanty has an impressive handle on the interior of Serenity, which is detailed and has all the nooks and crannies of the ship in the show. He, inker Karl Story, and colorist Laura Martin also illustrate a mindblowing opening sequence that takes place inside River Tam’s troubled mind. There are also little call-backs to the show that Zack Whedon inserts in his script that will make any Firefly fan smile. However, it seems that half of the comic is retelling “Objects in Space” without the philosophical elements and dark humor. Also, the reason for the change in Mal and Inara’s relationship is barely touched on. How was their sexual tension resolved?...

Serenity Leaves on the Wind #2

The Serenity Leaves on the Wind miniseries isn’t new reader friendly, but it is a great place for fans of the Firefly TV series and Serenity film to reconnect with their favorite characters and ship. Zack Whedon has a solid handle on the various characters’ voices and even introduces some of the moral dilemmas that made Firefly such an engaging show. In Serenity #2, Whedon explores different character’s relationships, like Mal and Zoe and Simon and River, while progressing the main plot of the crew of Serenity trying to heal Zoe as the New Resistance movement and Alliance look for them. Sometimes Georges Jeanty’s figures sometimes don’t look like the characters in the show, but he uses close-up panels to capture the characters’ emotions without dialogue.

In 2008, "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" became one of the first successful pieces of Internet-only entertainment. Created by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, Zack Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen and starring Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day, "Dr. Horrible" has gotten more than 50 million views.
Whedon and his collaborators have been hinting at a sequel for years, but it hasn't happened. Will it ever? According to Jed Whedon ("Agents of Shield"), the answer is yes. A "Dr. Horrible 2" will be made.
It just might not be any time soon.
Here is Whedon's statement to EW.com on the matter:
"We know we have spoken publicly about a sequel in the near distance and our passion to create it, and I promise we have not been insincere. 'Horrible' is still one of our favorite creations by humans who were also us. We have many songs written and the plot outlined, but needless to say,...

The brainchild of Joss, Jed and Zack Whedon (as well as Jed’s wife Melissa Tancharoen), “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” quickly became an internet success when it was released in 2008. The short miniseries-esque experiment has become a cult hit, but the big question fans want to know is when the sequel will come out. It’s safe to say that it won’t be coming out soon–what with “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “The Red Road” and other projects and roles and life events, all parties involved are extremely busy. But, the sequel is still being planned. Just not for the immediate future. Jed released a statement about the fate of “Dr. Horrible.” [ Read More ]

Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog is a very unique case that’s unlike other the shows in Entertainment Weekly’s latest issue, which explores the odds of fan-favorite shows returning.
For starters, Dr. Horrible was not a TV show (though its 42-minute length is nearly the same as one episode of broadcast television). For secondsies, Dr. Horrible wasn’t canceled — it was created as a stand-alone story. In fact, the story’s ending is satisfying and fitting, unlike the frustrating conclusions of many axed shows on our list (like Firefly). There are only two known truths in the entire universe: 1, that a series created by Joss Whedon will more than likely suffer cancellation (or get shot down before it’s even made!), and 2, that the cancelled series will live on to some degree in comics. With the live-action adventures of Buffy and Angel most certainly dead, their transition to comics to tell the later instalments was only a logical move by Whedon. Firefly/Serenity was a different situation altogether. Axed after less than one full season, Joss was able to bring back the crew for one more adventure, this one released in cinemas. Southland, “Chaos”
Written by Zack Whedon
Directed by Christopher Chulack
Aired April 10th, 2013 on TNT
Forget Hannibal. Forget American Horror Story. Forget “The Rains of Castamere.” You want harrowing? You want soul-crushing blackness with a side of trauma? You want pure, unforgiving narrative nihilism? Try on the penultimate episode of sadly-departed cop drama Southland. Whereas the typical episode hones in on a few plotlines between seven or eight characters, “Chaos” revolves mostly around a single, nightmare-inducing act: the kidnapping of two of our principal characters by a pair of deranged meth-heads. On paper, it sounds like your average “Very Special Episode” of… really, any cop show ever. The “team member(s) get nabbed and have to be rescued by the rest of the team” setup is well-worn territory. “Chaos”, however, is a different beast entirely. Based loosely on a real incident, “Chaos” earns its title honestly, unfolding seemingly without rhyme or reason,...
