Morning disc jockey on Los Angeles, California radio station KMPC (1950-1979).
Attended the University of Montana. Moved to Los Angeles and formed a singing quartet, 'The 4 Esquires'. Subsequently became one of the original Pied Pipers, a vocal group, often accompanying Jo Stafford and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.
He was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Radio at 6384 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California on December 13, 1978.
Posthumously inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame on November 8, 2008.
