Tweeters had a lot to keep track of last night, and the diversity of discussion this morning reflected that. Neil Gaiman fans have been buzzing about HBO developing an "American Gods" adaptation, while Jon Favreau was monitoring reactions to the new "Cowboys and Aliens" trailer, and everyone with an opinion on Ayn Rand and a Twitter account seems to have something to say about the "Atlas Shrugged" film.
And somehow two posts addressed quantities of Batman, as Jock mentioned how much he has to draw right now and R. Stevens asked whether or not we're all maxed out on the Caped Crusader. These retweets and more made the day's rundown after the jump.

Chris Evans' Captain America look has now been outed to the world, and the comics world is reacting. A couple of creators have reservations though.
The same can probably be said for "Battlestar Galactica" fans who (or weren't) watching SyFy's "Caprica" series, which has officially been cancelled. David Willis and Andrew Bell both sounded off about that move. Find out if you share their sentiments down below, along with whose palce of work Guillermo del Toro stopped by and how Tony Moore felt about the "Walking Dead" premiere.
I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter Report for October 28, 2010.
Captain America pt. 1: @jpalmiotti hmmm, captain america looks a little too colorful in real life.
-Jimmy Palmiotti, Writer ("Jonah Hex," "Painkiller Jane")
Captain America pt. 2: @ronmarz Looking forward to Captain America movie, but new Butch Guice Cap pages are more exciting to me than photos of Chris Evans as Cap.

Current events captured a lot of attention in the Twitter Report feed last night, with the tornado in New York and former President Bill Clinton on "The Daily Show" both sparking reactions. Nathan Fillion thought the tornado was just New York's way of welcoming him to the city, while Clinton and host John Stewart's newly-announced "Rally to Restore Sanity" turned his episode into a talking point.
Meanwhile in the U.K., Mark Millar missed a chance to see the Pope, but he didn't sound too broken up about it. His own words, another reaction to Joaquin Phoenix's "I'm Still Here" and an odd Chinese vodka discovery await you after the jump.
I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter Report for September 17, 2010.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Director F. Gary Gray ("Law Abiding Citizen") is in early talks to direct the film adaptation of the Eidos videogame "Kane and Lynch."
Stunt coordinator and second unit director Simon Crane was helming the project but vacated the director's seat in May due to creative differences.
At first Gray was offered the job but refused only to be in talks again on the project.
The movie is a top priority for Millennium, and the company, along with producers Daniel Alter and Adrian Askarieh as well as Willis and his brother David Willis, quickly set about finding a replacement. Wayne Kramer (”The Cooler”), Roger Donaldson (”The Bank Job”) and Gray landed on the shortlist, with Gray rising to the top.

Jamie Foxx is locking down the last elements in a deal to star in the video game-to-film adaptation "Kane & Lynch" for Lionsgate and Millennium Films reports Variety.
Ward adapted the script from the 2007 game "Kane & Lynch: Dead Men" which follows the mercenary Adam 'Kane' Marcus and aggressive, schizophrenic killer James Lynch teaming to retrieve a dangerous device as ransom payment to retrieve his kidnapped wife and daughter.
Bruce Willis has already signed to play Kane. Foxx would seem to be playing Lynch, a radical choice as Lynch physically is the complete opposite of Foxx in every way.
Kyle Ward penned the script and Simon Crane is directing. Adrian Askarieh, David Willis and Daniel Alter will produce while filming kicks off in August.

A little Sunday morning blasphemy for y'all:
First, we have this painting by Jon McNaughton featuring Jesus Christ, creator of the heavens and earth and bearer of the Us Constitution, flanked by, among others, Thomas Jefferson (a deist who actually rewrote his own version of the Bible to take out all the miracles and mysticism and just leave the philosophy), Ronald Reagan, and Christa McAuliffe. At his feet on his right you have the good guys-- the farmer, the Christian minister, the Us Marine, the handicapped child, the mother, the black college student, the schoolteacher who vaguely resembles Sarah Palin.
On the other side-- Jesus' left side, wink wink-- is a professor holding a copy of Darwin's Origin of the Species, a politician, a lawyer counting his money, a liberal news reporter, Mr. Hollywood, and a Supreme Court Justice weeping over Roe v. Wade, and of course, Satan!
And yes,...

Brett Ratner returns to the Twitter Report today. I like to think of myself as your comics-oriented Tweet jockey (Tj, if you will), and since he's been posting adamantly about his comics interests this week, I wanted to put a follow-up to his tweet yesterday at the top of today's report.
Apparently, Ratner owns one of the holy grails for comics collectors and as well as a lot of "Youngblood," which he'll be adapting to film.
Meanwhile, Cameron Stewart tweeted his excitement about reforming the "Seaguy" team by joining Grant Morrison on "Batman and Robin", Bryan Lee O'Malley mourned the ending to John Allison's long-running webcomic "Scary Go Round," and Gail Simone contemplated a move into video game development.
Check it all out in the Twitter Report for September 11, 2009.
@BrettRatner @michaelwryan i am actually the proud owner of Action Comics No.1. as well as a lot of justice league and recently Liefeld"s youngblood.

Disney CEO Bob Iger made an official visit to Marvel's NYC office to talk with staff this morning, and according to Marvel's in-house talent guru C.B. Cebulski, he told everyone that Marvel's essence will "remain as is." Those words of course don't promise anything materially, but they should come as good news to anyone worried about a Disney-fication of Marvel's content.
Also, in case you ever wondered what would happen if Hercules and Wonder Woman came to blows, writers Dan Slott and Gail Simone talked it out this morning, and the results may surprise you.
Read on below, and you'll find out what they had to say along with commentary from Rob Liefeld and the info on the music Scott Allie and Eric Powell are listening to on their way to Dragon Con. It's all in the Twitter Report for September 3, 2009.
