Warner Bros has clarified the status of its comic book adaptation Bullet to the Head, starring Sylvester Stallone and directed by Walter Hill.
The absence of any trailers and the removal of the film from its April 13 slot on the calendar suggested production was not going well. There was subsequent talk of Stallone (pictured) stepping in to oversee a new final cut and the release being moved to November.
This prompted the studio to issue a press statement, which reads: "Contrary to recent inaccurate and unfounded reports that Sylvester Stallone had taken over the editing of Bullet to the Head, director Walter Hill continues his editing of the movie."
It went on to quote Walter Hill as saying: "I'm currently finishing up and locking reels on the movie - as to the content and style of the film, Sly and I are in perfect sync. I'm delighted with the way...

Valiant Comics series Bloodshot has found a home with Sony's Columbia Pictures, minus Matthew Vaughn as the potential director.
The studio announced it had bought the screen rights based on a script from Jeff Wadlow (Cry Wolf, Prey), who worked with producer Neal H. Moritz and his Original Film company on a pitch to the studio.
It was back in 2010 that Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn was considering making the movie - with the rumours subsequently confirmed in an interview with the filmmaker - but has since opted to return to the X-Men world for a sequel.
Bloodshot (above) follows Angelo Mortalli, a killer for the mob who is framed, kidnapped and turned into a superhuman killing machine by a procedure that erases his memory. He escapes and begins searching for the truth about his past and the people responsible for his transformation.

Bullet to the Head is an adaption of the Dynamite Entertainment comic written by Matz with art from Colin Wilson, which follows a hitman and detective who team up to investigate a common foe. Based on a graphic novel, Bullet to the Head tells the story of a New Orleans hitman (Stallone) and a New York City cop who form an alliance to bring down the killers of their respective partners. Bullet to the Head is directed by Walter Hill and stars Sylvester Stallone (The Expendables), Jason Mamoa (Conan the Barbarian), Sarah Shahi (Fairly Legal), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (The Thing), and Christian Slater. Until recently, it was scheduled to hit theaters April 13th, 2012; which would pit it against producer Joss Whedon's horror film Cabin in the Woods starring Chris Hemsworth and the sci-fi...

Producer Joel Silver made action fans happy last June when he came aboard the Sylvester Stallone action thriller Bullet to the Head via his Dark Castle Entertainment shingle, partnering with the veteran muscle man for the first time since their ‘90s movies Demolition Man and Assassins. Silver joined Stuart Ford's Im Global and Courtney Solomon's After Dark Films with Warner Bros. releasing the movie and veteran Walter Hill directing the adaptation of the popular graphic novel. Matz wrote Bullet to the Head with illustrations by Colin Wilson about a New Orleans hit man who partners with a New York cop to find the person who killed their partners.

Based on the French graphic novel Du Plomb Dans La Tete written by by Matz (aka Alexis Nolent) and drawn by Colin Wilson, Bullet to the Head is the latest film from the still-prolific-at-66-years-old Sylvester Stallone – who I may say looks completly ripped and totally bad-ass in these first two images from the film:
Directed by Walter Hill (The Warriors, Trespass), the film sees Stallone play Jimmy Bobo, a hitman who teams with a young NYPD detective (Sung Kang?) in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of New Orleans. The unlikely duo, brought together by two vicious murders, take on all who stand in their way, and are willing to sacrifice everything to exact revenge.
Also starring Sung Kang, Jason Momoa, Christian Slater, Sarah Shahi and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Bullet to the Head is scheduled for an April 13th 2012 release.

Let’s face it, this could be a new promo image from The Expendables 2 but here we have a new image of Sylvester Stallone looking ridiculously toned in his new movie, Bullet to the Head courtesy of Vulture. Bear in mind, Stallone is now 65 years old! Craziness! I was going to say I hope I look like him when I’m 65 bt firstly, there’s no chance and secondly, I hope I don’t!

As the year draws to a close, Warner Bros. is beginning to look forward, as they’ve provided a few new images and synopses for choice options in their 2012 slate. This crop, only a small portion of their offerings for the next twelve months, consists of Bullet to the Head, Rock of Ages, Project X, and The Apparition. Nothing exhibited here is a big revelation for those who’ve been following the films for a few months — although I did learn that a movie titled “The Apparition” is coming out — but a new picture or two never hurt anybody. Now, let’s get down to business.

Never one to grow old gracefully Sly Stallone has smashed his way back into our collective consciousness this week, firstly by muscling his entire ensemble cast off of the poster for The Expendables 2 and then by giving us a peek at him apparently doing some sort of violent squat related workout in new film Bullet to the Head.
Making it his personal mission to show that even once you reach retirement age you don’t have to stop killing people, it’s looking like it’s going to be a big year for old Sly. Ever the hard worker it’s reported that since coming on board to star in Headshot under the directorial eye of Wayne Kramer he has completely overhauled the script himself whilst also finding time to change the title and indeed the director after he and Kramer had ‘creative differences’.

With all the Expendables 2 excitement, let's not forget that there's another Stallone action-fest on the way, directed by maestro Walter Hill. Still officially untitled, it was once known as Headshot and is currently being referred to as Bullet To The Head. But whatever it's called, it's based on the French comic Du Plomb Dans La Tete by Alexis "Matz" Nolent and Colin Wilson. And here's the first shot from the production.Yes, that other guy is Jason Momoa, which means this is a shot of Rambo vs. Conan. Or, if you'd rather, Rocky vs. Khal Drogo. Or, perhaps (although it's unlikely) John Spartan vs. Ronon Dex. And they're fighting with axes! If there isn't an axe duel in Expendables 2, then, frankly, it's on the back foot already. The setting's putting us in mind of Cobra, but we won't mention that. Oh, wait...The film is set in New Orleans, and...

We’ve recently seen a swelling of Sylvester Stallone. The actor’s forthcoming The Expendables 2 trailer and poster have all debuted online, and it is expected to be much bigger than the second one. The iconic action star’s The Expendables 2 isn’t the only film he will be in, one of Stallone’s other projects includes Bullet to the Head. The movie is the return of action director Walter Hill, Stallone’s first pick to replace Wayne Kramer. Apparently there has been some creative differences between Stallone and Kramer, which prompted the director to leave and Stallone to find a new director. Now that the movie has someone sitting on the director’s chair it can move forward. The movie has just released its first promotional image which you can view below.
Here is the first image of Sylvester Stallone in Walter Hill’s Bullet to the Head.

Sylvester Stallone is really back in action this week, with that teaser trailer [1] for The Expendables 2 and a poster [2] to go along with it. Sly even gets to hold down the poster solo, despite the fact that the whole selling point of The Expendables 2 is that it is an even bigger action ensemble than the first. Now here's a look at the aging action star in Bullet to the Head. The movie is the return of action director Walter Hill, who was Stallone's pick to replace [3] original helmer Wayne Kramer when some "creative differences" arose between star and director. The film is based ona Matz and Colin Wilson graphic novel, and also features Christian Slater, Jason Momoa and Jon Seda. Check out the full first image from the film, also seemingly featuring Momoa, below. While a film called Bullet to the Head might suggest using a still that features guns,...

What do we have worth noting? The new look of Darkseid, and we’re far enough into the new 52 books that it’s time for Batman to start crossing over in all of them. Plus Mara Jade, the red-haired assassin who fell in love with her blond-haired man she was sent to kill– oh, I’m sorry, that’s from Star Wars. This is Mera in a jade outfit. Our mistake.
Shall we? Surely!

Though no source is cited, meaning this should still be considered a rumor, the generally reliable Latino Review are reporting that Jason Momoa, fresh off his parts as Khal Drago in Game Of Thrones and Conan The Barbarian in the upcoming remake, has just been cast as the lead villain in Walter Hill's upcoming Sylvester Stallone star vehicle previously known as Headshot. Stallone will be playing an aging assassin in the film, one who teams up with a young cop (Fast Five's Sung Kang) to bring down a common enemy: the man who killed both of their partners. [1] Gossip Girl actor Penn Badgley has been tapped to star as Jeff Buckley in a new biopic about the singer-songwriter. No, not that one [2] -- the other one. Scott's film will be look at Buckley's (tragically brief) life and career arc, whereas Algrant's will focus on Buckley's breakthrough performance at a 1991 tribute concert for his father, the late Tim Buckley. According to The Playlist [3], Algrant's will also include a romance between Buckley and a working at the concert. I really only know Badgley from Easy A and the handful of Gossip Girl episodes I've seen, and I can't say he's ever left a strong impression on me. (Well -- I hated his Gossip Girl character,...

As a continuation of his late-career, human growth hormone-fueled resurgence, Sylvester Stallone is currently slated to appear in a film previously known as Headshot. As you can probably guess from the title, the flick is about the high-stakes world of actor photography, where the success of an actor you took a B&W headshot of could mean the difference between a glitzy life on Broadway or a box down on Skid Row.
Waitaminute...Our bad, the film is actually about a New Orleans hitman and a New York City police officer, who even though they are like, totally different from one another, have to team up to kill some guys as revenge for the deaths of their respective partners. But our idea sounded pretty good too, right? The hitman will also apparently be a grizzled veteran who lives by his own unique code, as he'll be played by Sylvester Stallone.

It's the perennial story of the old warhorse teamed with the new kid on the block: Fast and Furious franchise star Sung Kang will be joining Sylvester Stallone on the set of Headshot, when Walter Hill's cameras start rolling. As previously reported, Headshot is action guru Walter Hill's first theatrical feature since 2002's Undisputed (although he's since worked on Deadwood and Broken Trail, and as a producer of the Alien movies has some involvement with Prometheus) and is the tale of a hitman (Stallone) and a cop who join forces when they find themselves investigating the same murder case.It may not actually be called Headshot anymore though: Alexis "Matz" Nolent and Colin Wilson's original French graphic novel is called Du Plomb Dans La Tete, with its English translation (published by Dynamite) going by Bullet to the Head. Headshot is apparently a working title, with a final moniker not yet set.

The Sylvester Stallone film Headshot, which adapts the Matz and Colin Wilson graphic novel Bullet to the Head, became a bit more promising than just another action film when Walter Hill signed on [1] to replace Wayne Kramer as director. Mr. Hill hasn't made a great many movies in the past twenty years, but on the basis of classics like The Warriors, 48 Hrs. and The Driver, we have to be hopeful for a comeback. Now Joel Silver's Dark Castle Entertainment has partnered with Im Global and After Dark Films on the project, which also means that Warner Bros. will distribute the final product. It will, however, go out with a different title. Walter Hill was said to be rewriting the Alessandro Camon script, which has the following plot: [Stallone teams]with a young NYPD detective in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way...

Walter Hill's adaption of the 3 volume French graphic novel series now has a producing partner in Silver's Dark Castle and domestic distribution through Warner Brothers. It appears that the Expendables actor will likely be portraying Jimmy, a Louisiana hitman whose partner was killed through the betrayal of a patron who hired the two to kill a Senator. A cop must team with the contract killer to go beyond the law and find the target that links the unlikely pair. The comic was written by Matz with art by Colin Wilson. The French author has recently become a Hollywood hot property as his other works The Killer and Cyclops are also being developed into films of their own. Dark Castle joins Im Global and Dark Films in bringing the project through production. A Bullet to the Head will be...
