Robert A. “Bob” Wilson — father of Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson and Andrew Wilson — has died, Luke confirmed to the Dallas Morning News. Luke told the outlet that his dad died Friday after years of battling Alzheimer’s disease. He was 75.
A longtime presence in Dallas’ television arena, Bob helped pave the way for Kera, North Texas’ public broadcasting station. His influence inspired a 2011 documentary called Bob Wilson and the Early Years of Kera, released as the station marked its 50th anniversary — a celebration whose gala Bob was too sick to attend at the time, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Week 7 of Dancing With the Stars is here, and it will feature a double elimination!
We're only four weeks away from the finale, and who will take home that mirror ball trophy is still up in the air. The bar has been set high, and the seven remaining couples are really going to have to step up their game in the ballroom in order to stay in the competition.
Et breaks down everything you need to know ahead of Monday's show, themed "A Night at the Movies."
Who's on top of the leaderboard?
1. Normani Kordei & Val Chmerkovskiy: 38/40
2. Rashad Jennings & Emma Slater: 37/40
3. Simone Biles & Sasha Farber: 35/40
Who's in danger of elimination?
After last week's shocking elimination (Heather Morris and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were sent home following a perfect score for their tango), it's hard to say what will happen, and proves the importance of voting! But based on scores, we're guessing...

In 1979, a 22-year-old fledgling actor from Appleton, Wisconsin, was given a minor, ultimately uncredited role in Michael Cimino’s infamously troubled epic Heaven’s Gate. Over the next 35 years, Willem Dafoe has emerged as one of cinema’s most versatile performers. From a duplicitous green goblin to Jesus Christ to Lars von Trier’s tortured muse, the soft-spoken artist seems bound by no character. At this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, we talked to Dafoe about assuming the role of Italian aesthete Pier Paolo Pasolini in Abel Ferrara’s latest film Pasolini, which is also screening at the New York Film Festival, subverting the modern (oft-hagiographic) biopic, and whether Hollywood really is the Devil. What are you doing with your life these days?Well, I just finished touring in South America with a play. A Bob Wilson show called Old Woman. Two actors — me and Mikhail Baryshnikov. What drew...

Entertainment Earth has revealed five radical action figures that are inspired by some of the classic characters that we've seen in the classic 1960s TV series The Twilight Zone. These are exclusive action figures that were created in conjunction with San Diego Comic-Con, which is set to take place this coming July. The figures include the Gremlin; William Shatner's Bob Wilson; Invader; the alien Kanamit; Henry Bemis, and Talking Tina. The Twilight Zone is my favorite series of all time, and I want these!
The toys will be available at the Entertainment Earth booth #2343. I've included the descriptions that came along with each of the figures.
Bif Bang Pow! presents The Twilight Zone Gremlin 3 3/4-Inch Action Figure in Color, the horrifying creature from the memorable The Twilight Zone episode "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" that starred William Shatner. You wish you had it before, so don't let it pass you by now!

Amanda Bynes continued her Twitter cleanse on Monday, posting a sketch of a woman that bears quite a resemblance to her, and setting the record straight about her social-media presence. The actress, seeking a fresh start after being treated for mental-health issues, is busy hitting the books at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Orange County, Calif. But Bynes, 27, took some time to catch up with her followers and share the pencil drawing. "New sketch ~ Fyi this is my only twitter account, I have no secret twitter accounts. Xoxo Amanda," she wrote, referencing rumors that she has been Tweeting under a pseudonym.

Wilson appeared in place of Bynes's usual lawyer Richard Hutton at a Los Angeles hearing for the starlet's DUI arrest, which dates back to April 2012. A plea in the case has still not been entered up to this point, but Wilson assured the judge one would be ready by March 3. Following her December release from an inpatient treatment facility in California, Bynes, now a Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (Fidm) student, 27, recently...

The trail took the team from "Haunted Collector" to Joplin, Missouri this week. The city was devastated by a tornado in May 2011, nearly two years ago now, and still there are many areas of the city in need of relief. For John Zaffis and his team, though, their focus was on resident Bob Wilson.
The family had been experiencing paranormal activity, including shaking furniture and visible spirit figures. The team used their Evp recorder to ask a possible spirit if it had been affected by the tornado. They could hear the word "yes" in response.
Bob was overwhelmed by the evidence. He said that he'd been out helping people in the tornado. The emotions were still very raw for Bob as he told John how he had stayed beside one injured man until the man passed away.

A Place At The Table is from the people who brought you Food, Inc., the eye-opening and alarming documentary from 2009 that attempted to expose dark developments in the way food is prepared and regulated. Food, Inc. was like a horror film in which the villains are McDonalds, Tyson Foods, Corn, and especially Monsanto (the St. Louis-based agricultural and biotechnology corporation – read my Wamg review Here)
A Place At The Table is about how hunger poses serious economic, social and cultural implications for our nation, and that it could be solved once and for all, if the American public decides – as they have in the past – that making healthy food available and affordable is in the best interest of us all.
You can win passes for two for a screening of A Place At The Table in St. Louis on February 19th at 7pm at Landmark’s Tivoli Theater. Simply email me at tom@wearemoviegeeks.

★★☆☆☆ Bob Wilson's Life & Death of Marina Abramović (2012) director Giada Colagrande has the good fortune to be married to one of Hollywood's most multifaceted actors, Willem Dafoe, and to have been a good friend of Abramović from the tender age of 19, making her a shoo-in for the task of recording Robert Wilson's theatre production The Life & Death of Marina Abramović on film. This is not to detract from her long career as director, writer and actress - but let's say it helps.

As the dispute between Viacom and DirecTV continued Wednesday, the conglomerate yanked access to some of its more popular programming that was available free on company websites. Fans can no longer watch full episodes of shows like SpongeBob Squarepants and iCarly or Jersey Shore and The Daily Show, which is sure to further anger the 20 million DirecTV subscribers who continue to find a dark screen when they change the channel to Viacom-owned nets like Nick, MTV, Comedy Central and VH1.
“Viacom is now not only holding DirecTV customers hostage, but all online viewers as well,” according to a statement from DirecTV.

It’s that time of year again- Halloween; ‘tis the season for ghouls and ghasts and spooks galore. There have been few true horror series, such as Tales from the Crypt and Masters of Horror, and for this admitted scaredy-cat, finding TV episodes to watch can be tough. Here are seven fun and spooky episodes to celebrate the holiday with, marathon-style. As a rule, Halloween-set episodes are excluded, as that’s a list for a different day, however, no Halloween TV marathon would be complete without It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and The Simpsons’ “Treehouse of Horror” (the first incarnation is a favorite, with the gang moving into a haunted house, the introduction of Kang and Kodos as The Simpsons does “To Serve Man”, and finally their fantastic rendition of Edgar Allen Poe’s The Raven); consider adding them to the ordered list below.

Before I began writing for Shadowlocked in early 2010, I used to jot my media-related thoughts down on a humble little personal blog of mine. Though the blog itself will remain nameless, as such self-promotion would be unseemly, I can say that two articles contained within were far and away the most popular and most read pieces. Both were lists on The Twilight Zone. I have wanted to revisit the Zone for some time and various ideas have ever simmered on the back burner while I have written for Shadowlocked. Happily, it would seem that I've managed to stumble into that vaunted Fifth Dimension once again.

'Dostoevskian' French actor with an aura of tormented youth
With his emaciated but hypnotically handsome face and lithe body, the French actor Laurent Terzieff, who has died of respiratory infection aged 75, graced the stage and films for more than half a century. There was always an aura of tormented youth about Terzieff which he carried into the classic roles of his maturity such as Luigi Pirandello's Henry IV (1989) and Shakespeare's Richard II (1991). His perfect diction and rhythmic precision made his rendering of Jean Cocteau's narration of Stravinsky's Oedipus Rex in Bob Wilson's production at the Théâtre du Châtelet in 1996 particularly exciting.
Terzieff's special talents were used by many of the great theatre producers of the day: Jean-Louis Barrault, Peter Brook, Roger Planchon, Maurice Garrel, Roger Blin and André Barsacq. He also directed dozens of plays, many at the Théâtre du Lucernaire in Montparnasse. Paradoxically, given his tormented persona as an actor,...

Terzieff's special talents were used by many of the great theatre producers of the day: Jean-Louis Barrault, Peter Brook, Roger Planchon, Maurice Garrel, Roger Blin and André Barsacq. New York -- Cable operator Cox Communications is the second distributor to have signed a carriage deal with Epix, the premium channel joint venture of Viacom Inc., MGM and Lionsgate.
The multi-platform deal will bring Epix, which previously struck a deal with Verizon's FiOS, to Cox movie tier customers starting in April.
The companies didn't disclose financial terms.
"The video business is evolving, especially the way in which customers consume movies, and the movie products they value," said Bob Wilson, senior vp of programming for Cox. "This agreement will allow Cox to work closely with Epix and its studio partners to transform and enhance viewer access to movies across multiple availability windows and platforms -- linear, transactional movies on demand, subscription video on demand and online. Our cross-platform distribution of Epix will increase our customers' anytime/anyplace access to content and increase their convenience and satisfaction."...

The Men Who Stare at Goats is an adaptation of the non-fiction book of the same title by UK documentarian and journalist Jon Ronson. Highlighting a Us army interest in parapsychology, the book details the efforts of American security forces to employ New Age mysticism for military purposes. Ronson links these experiments to such subsequent army tactics as blasting the headquarters of Manuel Noriega with rock music during the 1989 invasion of Panama, and playing the tuneful warbling of Barney the Dinosaur to terror suspects. However, if the trailer is a reliable indicator,...
