Muhammad Ali will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024, Variety has learned exclusively.

Ali dabbled in professional wrestling at different times in his career. He famously fought an exhibition match against Japanese pro wrestling legend Antonio Inoki in Tokyo in 1976. In the leadup to that matchup, he appeared at a Wwwf (now WWE) show, where he entered the ring and challenged Gorilla Monsoon. Aew Revolution 2024 was a hell of a show and it ended with the satisfying finale of Sting’s time in the ring. The final stretch of Sting’s career was a wonderful chance to set things right for the legendary wrestler, after the wrestling business had constantly let him down over the years. He was once the ace of WCW, but the incompetence and selfishness of others hurt his legacy in different ways at different promotions. But despite being in his 60s, his three years at Aew allowed him to go out on his own terms.
The Stinger is a beloved icon for a reason. While he did get wrapped up in such unfortunate things as the WCW mini-movies, the Shockmaster, the ill-fated Hulk Hogan match at Starrcade, and a really unfortunate PPV main event involving Jeff Hardy, Sting was still one of WCW’s great highlights and kicked a...

It is important for me to get the name right- Nightmare Radio: The Night Stalker. Yes, that’s the name. And it is literally centered around a nighttime radio horror show host getting stalked by a creepy dude. But that’s not all. The movie also doubles down as a horror anthology as the show host, her listeners, and even the stalker guy share their own little horror stories. Some of those work way better than the main story; the others fall flat. The movie uses lots of signature horror tropes and leaves quite a lot to your own interpretation. In the recap of Nightmare Radio: The Night Stalker, I will to explain all of that.
Spoilers Ahead
Plot Synopsis: What Happens In ‘Nightmare Radio’?

Former WWE star Barry Windham suffered a heart attack this weekend that has left him in the ICU fighting for his life.

When I think of guys in pro-wrestling who are unsung more than perhaps they should be, who have given countless memories over decades and who still manage to get in the ring and tell stories that will always be relevant and stirring, I think of Dustin Rhodes. When I began watching pro-wrestling in 1992, at just nine years old, I saw Dustin Rhodes working as “The Natural” in WCW. Since then he’s pretty much been a constant in the business, and one of those guys I always love to watch.
Dustin Patrick Runnels was born in Austin Texas in 1969, the son of the son of a plumber “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. He had big shoes to fill the moment he decided to step foot into a wrestling ring in 1988 when he debuted for Championship Wrestling from Florida. Since then, Dustin has put together a legacy over 32 years as a professional wrestler,...

While we're not sure if this game will be made available to the public at any point through an official means, this process does ensure that the game will be preserved in a more accessible and sustainable format.
The Video Game History Foundation have even gone so far as to add upload a video of their full playthrough of the game, which goes to show just how much work was done on this title before it was seemingly cancelled. On September 18th, 1989, I attend my first WWE Live Event. It was a House Show at the old Stadium Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Main Event of the show saw The Ultimate Warrior face off against Andre the Giant for the Intercontinental Championship. Other legends that were a part of the show were Shawn Michaels and Marty Janetty, Rick The Model Martel, Barry Windham, The Honky Tonk Man, and Superfly Jimmy Snuka.
I bring this up because word came out today that Jimmy Snuka has passed away at the age of 73 due to stomach cancer. His work in the ring speaks for itself. He was a legend that helped inspire the likes of Mick Foley to lace up the boots and become competitors themselves. He was also the first notch on The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at Wrestlemania when The Undertaker defeated him at Wrestlemania 7. He also had a...

Whether real or fake, sometimes WWE's world champ has to give up their belt. From Antonio Inoki to Roman Reigns, here are 33 examples.
Making the championship vacant is something that pops up every now and then in all promotions for a variety of reasons. Like with the current situation with Roman Reigns, real life disaster can get in the way of pre-planned storytelling and it can’t be helped. Other times it comes from politics. Then there’s many instances where vacating a title is nothing more than a planned plot device. Maybe you want to dethrone a wrestler without them truly losing. Maybe you want to build up a rematch without having the title actually change hands. Or maybe you just want to add more interest by making a scenario where multiple wrestlers have an opportunity to be crowned the undisputed champion.

The best episodes of The Steve Austin Show are the ones where he connects with an old friend or colleague in the wrestling industry, engaging in free-flowing conversation without adhering to any set structure. Just two buddies shooting the breeze about the business they love. This week’s edition of The Unleashed version of his podcast is a prime example of that.
For all the negativity he’s been attached to throughout his career – his struggles with substance abuse, political maneuvering behind the scenes, etc. – Scott Hall is first and foremost a huge wrestling fan at heart. He’s always attributed the bond shared between he and his fellow Kliq members as stemming from their mutual love of the business, and that passion really comes to life in this interview.

The timing is right for WWE to bring back stable with a familiar name: The Four Horsemen. The name is synonymous with one of the most famous groups in the history of wrestling, right up there with the New World Order and D-Generation X.
What’s interesting about the Four Horsemen is that they were only in WCW and once WWE bought the company in 2001, they never created a stable with the Horsemen name. Why not now?
The closest stable in the history of WWE that was like the Four Horsemen was the Evolution foursome of Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista and original Horseman Ric Flair. Just like the Horsemen did at various points in their run, the Evolution group held all the titles at the same time to show how dominant they were.

The news comes after Vito Lograsso and former developmental talent Evan Singleton filed a similar class action lawsuit in March.
WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt is trying to get a federal judge to block the lawsuits and has filed a motion in order to do so. The company filed the suit in Us District Court in Connecticut (where WWE is based) on Monday, asking that all related litigation be moved to the state.

Well, that was eventful.
The landscape of WWE changed forever Sunday night at the 28th annual Survivor Series. No, not because Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are out of power forever (read: until WWE decides that Raw needs more McMahon to boost ratings). That will have about as much impact as when John Cena was fired during the Nexus feud and showed up the next night. We all know it’s a temporary move and if there’s a desire to get Triple H and Stephanie back on our screens, they’ll do it post-haste.
The big development was the arrival of the one WCW holdout who had never set foot inside a WWE ring… until Sunday night. He’s also a one time WWE Champion that is best known for his pompous rich persona known simply as Jbl.
It’s time to take a look at some of the things that WWE wants you to forget about Jbl’s career. These are things that aren’t mentioned when talking about the best moments of his career. Some are storyline related. Other things are behind the scenes stuff.
His WWE career had a few chapters. He started out as a midcard wrestler that was doing a tough cowboy type of gimmick.

Steve Borden, known to the wrestling world as Sting, is a certifiable legend with an interesting factor that makes him different from all the other wrestling greats of the past 30 years: He’s never worked for Vince McMahon.
All the other Nwa/WCW legends like Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Arn Anderson, Barry Windham, and Lex Luger worked for Vince McMahon at some point or another. However, Sting was always hesitant to sign with WWE because he was concerned with the way he would be portrayed on Vince’s show.
However, that all changed a few months back when Vince McMahon and Sting began negotiations for the Stinger to appear on WWE television. While it doesn’t appear that a wrestling contract has been signed yet, Sting will appear in the new WWE 2K15 game and has made some promotional appearances under the WWE name.

So, with that in mind,...

For more than ten years, the Nwa and WCW promoted the event known as “The Great American Bash”, a show that celebrated American pride while bringing major matches to the forefront and presenting shows that featured some major moments in the history of professional wrestling.
This set, released in a 3 DVD or 2 Blu-ray set, features some of the biggest contests from various Bash events, with names such as Ric Flair, Sting, Dusty Rhodes, Ddp, Randy Savage, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero and Bret Hart, among many others, making appearances. It is a stunning set for match quality and star-power and the choices of matches are very good.
United We Slam: The Best of The Great American Bash begins with early Bash events (1985) and ends with the most recent, and final Bash, from 2000. The way in which the set is laid out has both good and bad points about it. In one...

The world of professional wrestling has, for many years, featured hundreds of various alliances, groups of men and women who, for countless reasons, teamed together in order to achieve something that they would be unable to achieve alone. Be it a group of good guys sticking together, as friends, to take down the heels, or the bad guys forming a gang as a way to intimidate, attack and overthrow the babyfaces. It has worked for decades and continues to this very day, with factions such as The Shield and The Wyatt Family (oh… and don’t forget 3Mb) running rough-shot through WWE on their way to super-stardom. But, like I said, factions aren’t a new thing, they’ve been around for as long as steel folding chairs, brittle announce tables and sneaky managers, and this release is WWE’s look at some of the standout factions that have firmly...

Since WWE purchased WCW and the vast video library that came along with it, there have been numerous releases devoted to WCW related content, from the Goldberg set, to the Best of Nitro stuff, down to the Nwo release, but this is the first time WWE has taken a look at the best matches from the rich history of WCW’s Pay-Per-View’s. So here it is, volume one in the greatest matches from the PPV years of WCW.
WCW had some great PPV shows over the years of their existence. From Starrcade to Halloween Havoc, Superbrawl to Uncensored, Road Wild to Sin. Okay, ignore Sin, pretend I didn’t say that.
Here, in this 3 DVD/2 Bd set, you get over 20 matches ranging from 1987 until 2001 and the quality is, for the most-part, very high. From true wrestling greats, such as Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Sting, Vader, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage,...

With the mighty Undertaker closing out his career soon the WWE needs a new Big Evil, and The Eater of Worlds Bray Wyatt is perfectly positioned to follow in ominous footsteps of The Deadman and scare the living daylights out of superstars for years to come. While at the moment it’s difficult to ascertain whether The Authority is into pushing Wyatt to main event status on a regular basis, due to his cult popularity and (probably) his lineage (his dad is IRS and his uncles are Kendall and Barry Windham) all the initial signs point to a big…Yes!
With a potential Mania-focused feud with John Cena around the corner (following credible wins against the likes of Kane and Daniel Bryan), we could see Wyatt’s cult status skyrocket over 2014 and beyond. While we acknowledge that Undertaker’s phenomenal Streak can...

As we begin the month of October, I fondly remember Halloween Havoc, WCW’s annual fall extravaganza. Halloween Havoc was the one pay-per-view I looked forward to every year since it seemed like the company was inventing some weird gimmick. Some of them worked very well (The Thunderdome or Thunder Cage before the threat of lawsuit), others had mixed results (Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal) and others made me cringe (Chamber of Horrors, Sumo Monster Truck Match). Today, I want to talk about the one Halloween Havoc that didn’t have some weird or insane gimmick match: Halloween Havoc 1990 with the tagline “Terror Rules the Ring”. The card emanated from The Uic Pavilion in Chicago, a location that had held two previous Nwa PPVs: Starrcade 1987 and The Chi-Town Rumble.

Like it or not wrestling promoters the world over have always thought their fans were stupid. Whether it was repackaging an old superstar as someone new or creating completely hokey reasons for a superstars’ absence from television, guys like Vince McMahon have tried their hardest to pull the wool over our eyes for as long as the great sport of wrestling has existed in its current form.
Sometimes they were quite good at disguising wrestlers with new gimmicks. I mean who would have ever thought that Barry Darsow was both Demolition Smash And Repo Man in the WWF or that Goldust was Dustin son of the American Dream Rhodes. On the reverse of the coin promoters have also assumed that their fans never watch the competition. Never was this more obvious than when McMahon and co. attempted to pass a revered veteran like Barry Windham off as The Stalker. Thanks...

As fans we’ve seen wrestling go to some extreme measures that led to some epic encounters over the years. From Hell in a Cell to Last Man Standing, there have been many stipulations over the years that push the boundaries of brutality and the human anatomy. But there was only one match that went beyond… The War Games.
No matter where it was placed in schedule, the signature two cage spectacular was always the big draw for WCW. Strange alliances would be made and WrestleWars along with fall brawls would be forged in a team battleground of steel and blood . No Pinfalls. No Disqualifications. It’s just Submission or Surrender.
In the latest WWE DVD release: “War Games: WCW’s Most Notorious Matches” they look back at what happens when there are no other options and wrestling has go to war. I have to admit I was very...

“Would you like to hear a secret?”
In the year of bringing up young talent in the WWE, no one is more talented than 26 year old Bray Wyatt. I’ll be the first to admit that I had a mark out moment when Raw debuted The Wyatt Family’s first vignette a few short weeks ago. I’ve been a fan and a follower of him and his badass hawaiian shirts for a while now.
Now you might’ve been asking yourself, “Who the hell is this?” or “What the hell is going on?.” Well, I’m here to tell you.
Bray Wyatt made his debut in Florida Championship Wrestling back in 2009. He’s been honing his craft ever since, with a few gimmick and name changes along the way. A man known by many names including Duke Rotundo, Windham Rotundo and Husky Harris, Bray Wyatt will be the one that you’ll never forget.

The WWE (formerly WWF) World Heavyweight Title is without a doubt the most prestigious championship in pro wrestling history. Many great wrestlers have had the privilege of holding this belt over the years including Bob Backlund, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Edge, and many more. Unfortunately there are a lot of other equally talented (and some that were actually even more talented) wresters that never got the opportunity to hoist this belt high in the air in victory during their careers for a number of reasons.
Many of these guys busted their butts in the ring on a daily basis but sadly enough never had any sort of world title reign as a result of their hard work. A number of guys were never crowned with the title because they wrestled for the company during the age of Hulkamania and Vince McMahon simply refused to take the...

If rumours are to be believed ‘The Kliq’ are to join the already announced Mick Foley, and Bob Backlund as inductees in the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame. The group, who actually never wrestled together and are more accurately a backstage group, were comprised of Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman.
The Klique lists some of the most well known and successful names from wrestling history. Surely their inclusion in the Hof is a no brainer?
The group began life as a close knit group of superstars who looked out for each other behind the scenes and used their influence to engineer contracts and storylines in their favour. In most other professions this may be called a union, but a union is something that has never been able to be formed in the pro wrestling industry. As such they were seen as a clique (as they...

Following this year’s Survivor Series PPV it would seem that a new stable has been born and is enjoying a successful genesis on WWE television. If rumours are to be believed then the trio of Nxt ‘rookies’ consisting of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns will form a new faction under the leadership of Cm Punk and Paul Heyman – an exciting prospect if the angle and the group are handled correctly. With sufficient build up this could lead to big things for the likes of Rollins who would likely be the breakaway star of the group and ultimately feud with Punk somewhere down the line. But for now all we can do is speculate on where this all is leading. To celebrate the most exciting stable in recent memory as well as the release of the Nwo DVD we take a look at some of the best – and...

Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Ron Simmons (aka Faarooq in the WWE) is the latest name revealed for this year’s WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012.
Simmons’s most notable achievement was becoming the first officially recognised African-American singles World Heavyweight Champion when he defeated Big Van Vader for the WCW World Title on August 2nd, 1992. During his time with the company he also won the WCW World Tag Team Title (with Butch Reed) as Doom, and the WCW United States Tag Team Titles with Big Josh.
He joined the WWE in 1996 and was the first leader of the African American Group the Nation of Domination. A botched feud with The Rock over the leadership of the Nation (where Simmons wasn’t made to look particularly strong) led Faarooq to the tag team division where he would remain for the rest of his career. He held the WWE World...

As well as Edge, also announced on last night’s Raw for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012 was The Four Horseman. From the way it was portrayed last night they will be inducted as a group consisting of J J Dillion, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham and the already inducted Ric Flair. No Ole Anderson.
The decision to induct The Four Horseman as a group was rather interesting because Ric Flair is currently working and signed to a deal with rival company Tna. He was explicitly shown and mentioned in the promo video for the Class and photographed as being inducted so the WWE decided not to shy away from celebrating the Horseman without him.
So it will be interesting to see how they will handle this come the night before WrestleMania’s ceremony but maybe they will skirt around the issue then and just not mention Flair works for another company.
