In the words of Lennon & McCartney, it's been "a long and winding road." Queensryche has maintained its status as a legendary progressive rock band over the past 30+ years, enjoying success with albums like "Operation: Mind Crime" and it's follow up, "Empire," selling more than 20 million albums worldwide. Behind their success, however, the band has been plagued by creative differences which led to the departure of lead singer Geoff Tate. Eventually, Tate and the remaining members reached what they described as "an amicable settlement" with one of the terms prohibiting Tate from further performing with his newly formed band using the name Queensryche after August 30, 2014. Before taking on the new name "Operation: Mindcrime," Tate and his band embarked on a summer tour titled "Queensryche starring Geoff Tate - The Farewell Tour" which just recently ended outside of Chicago, closing a significant musical chapter in his life. This was the last night...

Simon Wright used to get sit in ragged old clothes outside a NatWest bank and was accompanied by his dog, a sleeping bag and a handwritten sign that detailed his "plight," the Daily Express reported
The 37-year-old earned up to 300-dollars-a-day from passers-by in Putney High Street, south-west London and had a smart council flat in Simms Court, Fulham High Street.
The cheating came to light, when locals started becoming suspicious about the amount of coins.

The ABC is getting physical and there.s one man for the job: popular Aussie comedian Frank Woodley.
One half of the lovable duo Lano and Woodley, Frank is back with a new, entirely-physical show, simply titled Woodley.
Drawing on childhood loves such as The Goodies and Get Smart . not to mention comedians like Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton . Frank is taking a unique approach for 2012: all jokes are visual. There.s very little dialogue.
"It's something that I.ve had this sort of weird obsession with for my entire performing career really," the Melbourne comedian explains of his love for physical humour.
.A lot of these ideas would.ve been things that maybe Lano and Woodley would.ve moved towards as well . so in some ways it.s something I.ve been thinking about for five years and in some ways it.s stuff I.ve been working on for 25 years.

German director Christian Alvart ("Case 39," "Pandorum") will adapt Edmond Hamilton's 1940's pulp sci-fi magazine serial and later 1970's anime series "Captain Future" into a feature film reports Quiet Earth.
Alvart says he's developing the film as a "big fun space opera for the whole family". The character of Captain Future, aka. Curtis Newton, is a brilliant scientist/adventurer who roams our solar system to help people and take down various villains.
The storyline will essentially be an origin story, following Newton's first adventure. Though Alvart doesn't specify, it will probably deal with the murder of Newton's parents at the hands of criminal scientist Victor Kaslan and his subsequent upbringing under the tutelage of scientist Simon Wright, an intelligent robot and a shapeshifting android.
Alvart says a sequel storyline is being developed concurrently so should the film be a success, they can get started on a follow-up right away.
