The 2021-22 awards season calendar has another new entry today. The International Cinematographers Guild, IATSE Local 600, has set Friday, March 25, for its 59th annual Icg Publicists Awards Luncheon at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
The trophies traditionally are handed out on the Friday before the Oscars.
The group’s TV nominations will be announced on Tuesday, November 16, and the film nominees will be revealed on January 24. See the full timeline below, with the guild noting that its dates might change.
Here are the categories that will draw hardware in the spring:

The publicity teams and campaigns behind Warner Bros’ breakout and groundbreaking romantic comedy Crazy Rich Asians and CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert led by CBS TV Studios’ Ryan Aguirre won the marquee Maxwell Weinberg Publicist Showmanship of the Year awards for film and TV at the Icg Publicists Guild Awards on Friday.

Both Deadline Film Editor Mike Fleming and Deadline Awards Columnist Pete Hammond were nominated for the 50th Annual Publicists Award this year. At the gala luncheon held today, the Publicists of the International Cinematographers Guild (Iatse Local 600) announced that Hammond won. (Like it would have killed you flacks to give it to both our guys?) Pete now becomes only the second journalist to win this award twice. Deadline TV Editor Nellie Andreeva was nominated last year. And, believe it or not, I was nominated in 2008. (Everybody immediately thought it was a hoax.) What an incredible showing for our small staff!
