It's almost Halloween, and that means life in Salem is about to get even weirder.
Last year, Days of Our Lives skipped the usual Halloween fantasy episode in favor of the Devil raising several troublemakers from the dead to wreak more havoc before disintegrating into a pile of dust.
Will Halloween 2022 be fantasy or real-world scary? Read on to find out what the Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10-24-22 have to say.
It's hard to tell from the spoiler video what's real and imagined.
Ej sees a clown that looks like it was plucked straight out of Stephen King's It, while Leo gets a job with Paulina... and gives out campaign literature while dressed as a donkey.

It's the end of an era.
Days of Our Lives made history during the week of 9-05-22 when it aired on NBC for the last time after a 57-year run.
Many fans know that Days of Our Lives will now air exclusively on Peacock. While the series had already filmed through February 2023 when this was decided, we were hoping for a send-off that would make viewers eager to follow it to its new home.
The Stefan resurrection story got a lot of airtime on Friday, along with Ej's determination to convince the world that Ava is mentally ill and Ava and Johnny's first kiss.
Neither Stefan nor Li is a particularly great guy. They're both schemers that Gabi fell in love with after getting involved for business purposes.

After randomly agreeing to a truce with Sonny, Leo found him on the floor with a knife in his back.
Someone framed Leo for attempting to kill Sonny on Days of Our Lives during the week of 8-29-22. They planted his enemies' list by the body and used the same knife someone used to murder Abigail.
This brings up a lot of questions, but we're still no closer to finding out who killed Abigail in the first place, and that could be a problem.
Viewers lose interest when stories drag on and on without apparent resolution.
This is always a problem with Days of Our Lives regarding murder mysteries. It's a soap trope that the first person to be accused is never the killer, but Days takes it to extremes.

Orpheus abducted Marlena and Kayla (nothing new there). Li Shin stopped Stefan from reaching Gabi. Ava sparred with Ej, while Leo turned on Gwen once again.
Our TV Fanatics, Jack and Christine, are joined by Mikey from MyHourglass, a Days of Our Lives fan forum, to debate Orpheus' plan, whether there is really heat between Ava and Ej, if a threesome spells doom for Chanel and Allie, who is their favorite couple in Salem right now, and more!
Orpheus kidnapped Marlena and Kayla. What do you think he wants?
Mikey: To quote Taylor Swift, "I think I've seen this film before..." Orpheus's motives always seem to be secondary to the plot mechanics. I feel like I've seen so many versions of this at this point that I can barely muster a shrug.
Are they actually going to die? No way. Will they be rattled by this even two days after the fact?...

It was an eventful week in Salem.
On Days of Our Lives during the week of 8-08-22, Chad accused Leo of murdering Abigail just as Clyde realized who had given him that stolen jewelry, while elsewhere, Nicole worried about Eric dating Jada and Rolf gave in to Li Shin's demands to keep Stefan in a coma.
Our TV Fanatic Jack is joined by Kpatch, LumiForeverAndAlways, and Tony from MyHourglass: A Days of Our Lives Fan Forum to debate who Eric should be with, whether Leo killed Abigail, and who was written most out of character. Read on!
Eric went on a date with Jada and seemed interested in another. Do you think this relationship has potential, or would you rather Eric and Nicole reunite?
Kpatch: I don't want Eric and Nicole to reunite. They tried and failed multiple times.

Days of Our Lives Beyond Salem Season 2 gets underway on Peacock next month, featuring a mix of old and new faces.
One returning face is Peter Reckell, who played Bo on the NBC daytime sudser until 2015.
He passed away in Hope's (Kristian Alfonso) arms after suffering from a brain tumor.
The development broke Days fans across the globe as it pulled one of daytime's most beloved couples apart.
The trailer certainly dials up the intrigue, teasing that Hope has been up to no good since leaving Salem.
As for what you can expect, well, here's the official logline:
In an epic, action-packed tale that spans the entire globe, from Monte Carlo to Hong Kong, beloved characters from Days of our Lives once again go “Beyond Salem!” as they trade the comforts of home for an adventure of a lifetime!
Supercouple Steve and Kayla make a surprise visit to their children in Seattle,...

Not even death can keep Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) away from the second installment of Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem, arriving next month on Peacock.
The above trailer, which dropped on Tuesday, teases the fan favorite’s heavenly return alongside a bevy of other familiar faces (hey there, Hope/Kristian Alfonso!) as well as a few new ones (you’re looking very serious, Steve Burton!). As you’ll recall, Bo died in Hope’s arms from a brain tumor he didn’t know he had, back in 2015.

Abigail was attacked! Jan gave birth to her and Shawn's baby. Belle kissed Ej again while Allie and Johnny tried to win back Chanel.
Our TV Fanatics, Jack and Christine, are joined by Mikey from MyHourglass, a Days of Our Lives fan forum, to debate who attacked Abigail, who Chanel should choose, if Jan's baby will survive, and their biggest pet peeve in Salem!
Who do you think attacked Abigail?
Mikey: I don't think it was actually any of the suspects we saw in that final montage. I expect a clever ("clever") reveal of the true killer's identity, much like we had all those suspects in Charlie's murder.
It turned out to be Jan, who'd come out of her coma long enough to commit a murder before going back into hibernation.
Jack: I hate to say it, but I think it's Sarah. Marlena made a point of telling Sarah to...

Since she was appointed executive producer of “American Experience” in July 2020, Cameo George has been busy expanding and diversifying the slate of PBS’ signature historical documentary series, with the upcoming 34th season the first produced in full under her direction.
The new “American Experience” season will kick off on Feb. 7 with Michael Bicks and Anna Lee Strachan’s “Riveted: The History of Jeans.” About how jeans became a staple of clothing worldwide, it is one of six feature documentaries in the season, five of which were commissioned by George, the first Black woman to helm “American Experience.” George replaced Mark Samels, who retired from the series in 2020 after serving as executive producer of the program for 16 years.
“I have always thought of ‘American Experience’ as the single most important history series in the doc world, and the chance to build on the incredible legacy of the series, freshen it up a bit,...

The American government isn’t infallible, which is why it’s essential that its people continue to pay attention and question its policies. After all, the nation itself owes its origins to challenging authority and the status quo. PBS’ “American Experience” special “The Chinese Exclusion Act” is a sobering and eye-opening look at a chapter in American history that not only reveals the way our nation did wrong by people who helped build it but also has clear parallels to today’s issues with immigration.
Directed by Ric Burns (who’d worked on his brother Ken Burns’ series “The Civil War”) and Li-Shin Yu, the two-hour special examines an act passed by Congress in 1882 that both prohibited the immigration of Chinese laborers and prevented Chinese nationals living in the U.S. from becoming citizens. This was just the beginning of several acts that sought to exclude the Chinese and had...

A shocking chapter in American history—unknown to most Americans—unfolds in the new documentary The Chinese Exclusion Act. For more than 60 years—between 1882 and 1943—federal law banned Chinese workers from immigrating to the United States. It marked the first time legislation was enacted to prevent a specific ethnic group from entering this country.
“The majority of people don’t know about it,” states filmmaker Li-Shin Yu, who co-directed with Ric Burns. “Even Chinese Americans themselves don’t know. I, myself, did not know.”
The Chinese Exclusion Act premieres on PBS Tuesday night, just before the May 31 deadline for Emmy qualification, making it eligible for nominations this year. The directors embarked on the project six years ago, well before the current immigration debate intensified with the election of President Trump, who has made building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border a signature goal, not to mention barring entry to the U.
