Longtime "Scrubs" writer-producers Garrett Donovan and Neil Goldman have inked a new two-year overall deal at Universal Media Studios.
Under the seven-figure pact, the duo join the recently picked-up NBC comedy series "Community" as executive producers/showrunners.
The single-camera project, created by Dan Harmon, is a co-production between Sony TV, which developed and produced the pilot, and Ums.
"Community," about a group of misfits attending a community college, stars Joel McHale, Chevy Chase, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs and Yvette Nicole Brown.
Donovan and Goldman will exec produce alongside Harmon, Russ Krasnoff and Gary Foster.
For the past eight years, Donovan and Goldman worked on "Scrubs," which ran on NBC for seven seasons before migrating to ABC in the fall.

Tony Robbins insists that a group of which he was a part absolutely, positively did not stiff Philippe Miami. Walt Disney Pictures has pre-emptively picked up "Undateable," a comedy pitch from scribes Jack Angelo and Sam Brown. Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot's Disney-based Offspring will produce along with Mikkel Bondessen of Fuse Entertainment.
The project is based on the true story of Brian Wolf, who had no dating life, so he started a Web site called SettleForBrian.com, about why women should settle for him. Among the site's highlights is a comprehensive pro and con list where he waxes about his large nose and earlobe ("They say that a person's ears and nose continue to grow throughout his life, so this situation is only going to get worse") and how he was rejected by dating site eHarmony.com, which said he was one of the people it didn't think it could find a match for.
Fuse's Alex Goldstone will executive produce, and Rich Demato will co-produce.
