Kira Kira is Kristin Bjork Kristjansdottir, a composer, filmmaker and music producer from Iceland.
She comes from a background of composing for contemporary dance productions as well as experimental filmmaking and collaborating across art forms. Kira Kira has 6 LPs to her name, the 3 most recent being "Una" (Letra Recs 2019), "Motions Like These" (Ancestor 2019) -in collab w LA based producer Eskmo/ Brendan Angelides and "Alchemy & Friends" (Time Released Sound & Afterhours 2018) where she celebrates friendship through collaborating with other composers and musicians including Dustin O'halloran, Eskmo, Robot Koch, Hermigervill and Rob Simonsen of Los Angeles based composer collective The Echo Society.

Kira Kira wrote music for Daniel Stessen's hybrid animated sci-fi TV series "Dream Corp LLC" on Adult Swim and has scored a few feature films and shorts. Collaborating with animators, playful filmmakers and dancers is a passion.
In 2011 Kira wrote and directed "Grandma Lo-fi" -A hybrid animated music film shot mostly on Super-8 alongside Orri Jonsson and Ingibjorg Birgisdottir. The film won 1st prize at CPH Dox and has been screened in festivals world wide including at SXSW, New York's MoMA and IFFR.
She co-founded Kitchen Motors -A playful collective and label focused on explorations in music alongside composers Johann Johannsson and Hilmar Jensson.
