"Follies;" and in 1976 for "Pacific Overtures." He was Tony-nominated
seven other times: in 1956 for "The Diary of Anne Frank," "Bus Stop,"
"Once Upon a Tailor: and "A View from the Bridge;" in 1957 for "A Hole
in the Head" and "Small War on Murray Hill;" in 1958 for "Orpheus
Descending," "A Hole in the Head" and "The Rope Dancers;" in 1959 for
"J.B.;" in 1965 for "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Incident at Vichy;" in
1968 for "The Price;" and in 1973 for "A Little Night Music."
