Marvel Studios’ What If…? series has been a fan-favorite show since its release and the positive critical reviews prove how much it has been a breath of fresh air for fans ever since the onslaught of the superhero fatigue.
Disney+’s What If…? / Marvel Studios Animation
After the success of X-Men ’97, Head of TV, Streaming, and Animation Brad Winderbaum confirmed that Season 3 of What If…? could be the next Marvel Animation show on deck. However, there’s a hint that it could also be the final installment.
What If…? Season 3 Might Be The Last Chapter
During an interview via Comic Book, Marvel’s very own Brad Winderbaum revealed that What If…? Season 3 might come up next in the slot. He also mentioned something that teased the show’s conclusion.
What If…? Season Three is — that might be the one that comes out next, in terms of animation. That is the culmination of a trilogy.

Even though the Marvel Cinematic Universe is incredibly secretive with Avengers 5, just like every other one of its projects, leaks about the casting for the movie seem to be popping up nonetheless. This comes after the renowned industry scooper Daniel Richtman recently threw in some reported details about which superheroes could be seen in the 2026-scheduled film.
Marvel Cinematic Universe
While fans were expecting to hear a lot of names from all the new superheroes introduced by the MCU, they were inevitably disappointed after Richtman revealed Kevin Feige’s plan for the next installment in the Avengers saga. This is because, according to those reports, Pedro Pascal and the remaining of the new Fantastic Four gang will reportedly not appear in the movie — at all.

Filipino writer-producer-director Ramona S Diaz is unafraid of a fight.
She plans to release her politically controversial feature documentary And So It Begins in the Philippines herself later this year, galvanised by the rection to her 2003 film Imelda. The film premiered at Sundance in January and had its European premiere in the international competition of the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival last week.
Imelda was about the life of former Filipino First Lady Imelda Marcos. Marcos unsuccessfully took Diaz to court in an attempt to stop the documentary being shown in the Philippines.

Essentially a sequel, or a companion one could say to the excellent “A Thousand Cuts”, “And So It Begins” follows the 2022 Philippine Presidential elections, with Ferdinand (Bongbong) Marcos, Jr and former Vice President Leni Lobredo being opponents. At the same time, it also reserves space for the “protagonist” of the previous movie, Maria Ressa.
And So It Begins is screening at Thessaloniki Documentary Festival
In that fashion, the documentary begins with Leni Lobredo's term as Vice-President to Rodrigo Duterte (President and vice-president elections are separate in the Philippines) and the bullying she essentially received from him, with the public speaking scene where both are present, being highly indicative. Nevertheless, and one could say because of this attitude, Lobredo decides to run for President in 2022, and is actually considered one of the favorites for some time, particularly due to her promises to do things rather differently than the autocratic, intensely populist practices of Duterte.

Following up on their excellent Blood Money box set from last year, the folks at Arrow Video now offer the four-film collection Savage Guns, another deep dive into the vaults of the Italian western. With each of these releases, Arrow gives viewers the opportunity to form a richer and broader notion of the genre, to examine the way these films work the warp and weft of similarity and difference, providing audiences with expected payoffs of sex and violence while also playing variations (subtle or otherwise) on familiar generic themes.

Spanish drama thrillers never go out of style. The theatrics and histrionics showcased in these shows never seem to end, and there is a large portion of the audience that enjoys such content. Elite, The Snow Girl, and Money Heist are some of the prime examples of thriller drama shows coming out of Netflix Spain. Holy Family is an eight-episodic series that was released last year and is about a family that seems to have decent social standing but is burdened by many secrets.
Season one began with middle-aged mothers Blanca, Gloria, and Alicia frequently meeting at an eatery to consume copious amounts of Margarita while they trudge through their lives as mothers. The show throws light on all kinds of issues these women face. Blanca has been married to a pilot while raising her son Lorenzo, who suffers from Down syndrome. The Craig Gillespie directorial venture Dumb Money is a prime example of how a movie about characters involved in technical stuff should be made. Based on the book The Antisocial Network by Ben Mezrich, the 2023 film is the story of a few retail investors who began to buy stocks of a video game store called GameStop and how that impacted the billion-dollar hedge fund managers who made their money primarily through ‘short selling’. The performances are great, and the pacing, the cinematography, and the overall setting surely remind one of David Fincher’s The Social Network. Funny that this film is based on a book with almost the same name! The casting is spot on, and with a great background score, the movie creates an atmosphere where this big fish vs. little fish fight really becomes palpable, even though the jargon might go over our heads.

A lot of the young men who became stock traders in the 1980s saw themselves as rebels: the new swingers of greed. Of course, they weren’t really rebels. But it felt good to them to think of themselves that way. Keith Gill (Paul Dano), the central figure in Craig Gillespie’s smart, light-fingered, brashly entertaining finance-world docudrama “Dumb Money,” is an amateur stock trader who also sees himself as a rebel. Keith, unlike the Wall Street players, actually is trying to fight the system. But he may be nearly as caught up in illusions as they are.
The Wall Street badasses of the ’80s wanted to be cool. Keith, by contrast, is a long-haired Middle American nerd who lives in Brockton, Ma, with his wife (Shailene Woodley) and infant daughter and works for the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. In his spare time, he posts freewheeling video rambles on wallstreetbets,...

While the idea of an estranged couple who find themselves in a soup, or rather, in quicksand, remembering their life together as they realize there may be no way to get out of it sounds horrifying and interesting, Quicksand fails to capture the mind. To begin with, the couple in peril really doesn’t give us any reason to root for them by the end of the film; rather, they’re more repulsive. There’s really no character arc, and they’re both quite obnoxious toward each other for most of the film, leaving no room for hope or satisfaction. It would’ve been better if they had walked away from each other by the end of the film. It’s such a shame that Shudder has such a wonderful opportunity but, more often than not, fails to deliver any kind of Shudder.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht stew Lucy Edmunds is often asked why she didn’t hook up with any of the men on the boat. And her answer is always the same: they simply weren’t her cup of tea.
“All my comments and messages on Instagram were like, ‘Why didn’t the boys want Lucy? Are they blind?’ But I didn’t gel with any of them in that way,” Edmunds told Showbiz Cheat Sheet.

“I was just really close with them all,” she continued. “Me and Chase [Lemacks], we’re not compatible at all. We would never have gotten together.” She said the compatibility issue began even before his drunken “motorboat” comment.
Despite shutting Lemacks down pretty quickly, Edmunds said she is in a good place with him. “Me and Chase were completely fine now,” she said.
“And we’ve all definitely said something we regret when we are drunk.

Manila, May 23 (Ians) Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos has said his country is looking at the Asian Development Bank (Adb) for “crucial development interventions” as the Southeast Asian country faces twin challenges of post-pandemic recovery and climate crisis.

It isn’t totally smooth sailing for chef Ileisha Dell on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4. Captain Glenn Shephard said that while Dell was an amazing chef and he loved her food, she had a few issues with timing this season.

Food’s delicious,” Shephard told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “During the summer, that department struggled a little bit with timings, getting the food to the table at the right times and subsequent courses and stuff like that. “Kisapmata” is another notorious as much as significant movie in the history of Filipino cinema, for a number of reasons. For starters, the plot was inspired by the crime reportage “The House on Zapote Street” written by Nick Joaquin, with the piece chronicling the events leading up to the highly publicized familicide committed by Pablo Cabading, a retired policeman. The film included the first major treatment of incest in the history of the country's cinema, while its message was perceived to be against both patriarchy and the regime of then President Ferdinand Marcos, which expectedly led to issues with the Censorship Board. Despite all its issues, the film premiered at the 7th Metro Manila Film Festival, where it won 10 awards, including Best Film, while it was also screened at the 1982 Cannes Film Festival during the Directors' Fortnight. Furthermore, the Filipino Film Critics included it in their list of Ten Best Films of the Decade,...

Doctors knew she needed to receive a liver transplant as soon as possible because her condition was worsening. At the same time, doctors at Lenox Hill Hospital encountered a new patient, Marcos, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor that had metastasized to his lungs. As Season 23’s Blind Auditions continued Tuesday night on The Voice, we were treated to not one but two Bee Gees covers, a creative reinterpretation of a much-covered Burt Bacharach/Hal David classic and a star turn by a youngster who was compared — and favorably, need we add? — to the great Brandi Carlile. Shout! Studios presents The Magic Flute by Florian Zigl, executive produced by Roland Emmerich, at 325 theaters with expansion likely. A reimagining of the Mozart opera, it follows a present-day teen sent from London to the Austrian Alps on singing scholarship at the legendary Mozart boarding school. There, he discovers a century old forgotten passageway into the magical world of Mozart’s famed opera.
This Harry Potter-ish adventure fantasy stars Jack Wolfe as Tim Walker, who passes from school into the world of the opera and its many adventures as hero Prince Tamino. Wide releases may be picking up steam and Scream, but in terms of new specialty, and family fare, these isn’t much new competition this weekend.
Melissa Boag, EVP of Family Entertainment at Shout! Studios, hopes it will play with fans of magical adventure, Harry Potter, and classical music. Wolfe is a star of Netflix YA series Shadow & Bone.

National Geographic Channel has acquired Elizabeth Unger’s wildlife-crime documentary feature “Tigre Gente” in Latin America, where the film will premiere on April 22 as part of the channel’s Earth Day lineup. Limonero Films has acquired the film for distribution outside Latin America. “Tigre Gente,” which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2021, is produced by Unger alongside Joanna Natasegara, who won an Oscar for “The White Helmets,” and was Oscar nominated for “The Edge of Democracy” and “Virunga.”
When Unger set out to make a feature documentary about the battle to protect the jaguar in Bolivia, her mission was to break new ground in the wildlife-crime genre “by exploring the root cause of the mentality that’s driving the demand,” she says.
She hopes the film “will help battle misconceptions and give Western audiences a better comprehension of Chinese culture and tradition as it pertains to wildlife consumerism.”
She adds: “We can do better,...
