Sky Crime, pay TV operator Sky’s premium crime content channel, has acquired “The Torso Killer Confessions” from Cineflix Productions.
The show delves into the decades-long journey to bring justice to the victims of the notorious ‘Torso Killer,’ also known as Richard Cottingham – one of America’s most prolific serial killers. Working in tandem with the cold-case Detective Robert Anzilotti who spent more than 20 years building an investigation and a relationship with Cottingham, Cineflix goes behind-the-scenes to unearth material and conversations linking Cottingham to six additional killings that date back to the 1960s.
Sandra Piha, Cineflix Rights’ senior VP of sales, pan-regional, U.K., Ireland and Scandinavia, brokered the deal with Sky U.K.

Shooting kicked off in Dublin on Monday for ITV and BBC streamer BritBox’s latest commission, a new dramedy series titled “The Dry” to be produced by Element Pictures in association with Screen Ireland and ITV Studios. Irish broadcaster RTÉ is also partnering on production.
Roisin Gallagher (“The Fall”) Ciarán Hinds (“Game Of Thrones”), Pom Boyd (“Vanity Fair”), Siobhán Cullen (“Origin”) and Moe Dunford (“Vikings”) headline the series cast, joined by newcomer Adam Richardson. In the show, Shiv Sheridan (Gallagher) returns to Dublin after living abroad in London, sober and well intentioned for the first time in years. Lifetime has greenlighted the original movie Girl in the Bunker, based on the true story of Elizabeth Shoaf, who was abducted in 2006 and held captive in a hidden underground bunker. From Girl in the Box‘s writer-director-executive producer Steven Kemp and executive producer Charles Tremayne, the dark, psychological drama stars Henry Thomas (E.T.), Julia Lalonde (Anne of Green Gables) and Moira Kelly (One Tree Hill).
Set to premiere at 8 Pm on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, the film will be followed at 10 Pm by the docu-special Elizabeth Shoaf: The Girl in a Bunker, which recounts the terrifying true story in Shoaf’s own words.
