Klaus-Peter Willsch
Graduated from Leibniz High School in Wiesbaden in 1979. 1980 to 1986 studied economics and political science at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, graduating with a degree in economics. 1987 to 1988 military service with Air Defense Regiment 5 in Lorch on the Rhine, Lieutenant Colonel in the Reserve.
1989 to 1994 employed at Frankfurt/Main Airport AG, November 1993 direct election as mayor in the Hessian state spa Schlangenbad, from April 1994 until election to the Bundestag mayor in Schlangenbad, consulting and lecturing activities as a consulting economist, book author (,,Von Rettern und Rebellen"), 2001 to 2021 editor of the Rheingau-Taunus Monatsanzeiger (Hohenstein). January 2005 to December 2010 member of the Senate of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, 2006 election to the Board of Trustees of the Science Center Berlin, since 2012 member of the Board of Trustees of Fraunhofer IPK, 2011 to 2022 member of the University Council of the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), in February 2019 he was awarded an honorary doctorate by Fu-Jen University Taipei (Taiwan).
