Scott Weiland's ex-wife wants the late singer's estate to continue ponying up spousal and child support to the tune of nearly $20k a month. According to legal docs, Mary Forsberg wants to dip into the estate for $12,519 a month in spousal support, plus $7,201 in monthly child support for their 2 teenagers, Noah and Lucy. That's what Scott's been paying since 2004. Although Forsberg is the administrator of Weiland's estate, she needs the court's permission to get the dough.

Weiland died in his sleep in Bloomington, Minnesota, on December 3 while on tour with his new backing band, the Wildabouts. He was 48. The day after his death, one of his bandmates on tour, Tommy Black, was arrested for cocaine possession. Black was released from jail a day later. Following the death of former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland, his ex-wife and the mother of his two children, Mary Forsberg Weiland, wrote a heartfelt, but brutally honest letter exposing the rock star’s failures as a father. “December 3rd, 2015 is not the day Scott Weiland died,” Mary began in her letter published by Rolling Stone. “It is the official day the public will use to mourn him, and it was the last day he could be propped up in front of a microphone for the financial benefit or enjoyment of others.” Mary also thanked fans for the outpouring...

Mary Forsberg Weiland, the late Scott Weiland's second wife, has published a heart-wrenching letter reflecting on the famed front man's untimely death. The note focuses largely on Weiland's role as the father of her children, and the familial disconnect she says was created because of his many illnesses and artistic successes. "The truth is, like so many other kids, they lost their father years ago," she writes, via Rolling Stone. "What they truly lost on December 3rd was hope." Continuing with similar candor, Mary discusses her frustration with the music industry and some of the low points she shared with Scott, but ultimately asks readers to acknowledge children who are affected by such tragedies.Below is an excerpt: This is the final step in our long goodbye to Scott. Even though I felt we had no other choice, maybe we never should have let him go. Or maybe these...

He may no longer be a member of the band Stone Temple Pilots, but Scott Weiland has reason to celebrate. The rocker got married to his girlfriend, Jamie Wachtel, Saturday (June 22), Us Weekly reports.
The couple first met in 2011 while filming music videos for his Christmas album, "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year." Wachtel was a photographer on the shoot. In 2012, they became engaged. "I am incredibly happy," Weiland said at the time, "She is incredibly beautiful in every aspect of the word. Lovely, smart, passionate. And she loves my kids and I love her son."
Weiland said the and Wachtel would be married in the Spring, though they obviously held off for a Summer wedding. This is Weiland's third marriage. He has two children with his second wife, model Mary Forsberg.

Hopefully the third time's the charm for Scott Weiland, as he married Jamie Wachtel in their Los Angeles home on Saturday (June 22).
Back in 1994, the former Stone Temple Pilots frontman married Janina Castenada, and after divorcing her in 2000 was married to Mary Forsberg until 2007.
Speaking about the occasion, Wife #3 gushed, "We had the most beautiful, heartfelt ceremony. We all cried and laughed. Scott and I are over the moon!"
Back in November, Scott shared with Rolling Stone the story of how he met his photographer bride, explaining she told him to "tuck in your belly a little bit," laughing, "It was around the holidays – it was after Thanksgiving, and you know how that tends to be. I was kind of caught off guard, and I started laughing and she started laughing. And I don't know ... something magical happened."

Scott Weiland has lived a public life filled with ups and down, struggling with addiction and alternate musical successes and failures, but as he reveals in his new memoir, difficulties began far before he became a rockstar.
In excerpts from "Not Dead & Not For Sale," published in Spin, the Stone Temple Pilots grunge rocker details his struggle with heroin, his artistic compromises and, most harrowingly, the time he was raped at just 12 years old.
While growing up in Ohio, Weiland remembers a "big muscular guy, a high school senior... [who] rode the bus with me every day to school... invited me to his house. The dude raped me. It was quick, not pleasant. I was too scared to tell anyone. 'Tell anyone,' he warned, 'and you'll never have another friend in this school. I'll ruin your **ckin' reputation.' Adds Weiland, "This is a memory I suppressed until only a few years ago when,...

Rocker Scott Weiland is set to reveal all about his battle with drug addiction and his newfound sobriety when his long-awaited autobiography is released next March. The singer has talked about the tome for three years - and he's finally agreed with publishers at Simon & Schuster on a tentative release for "Not Dead & Not For Sale".
Weiland was kicked out of rock band Velvet Revolver in April 2008 and has since been touring as a member of the reunited Stone Temple Pilots. But in the months before the split, he revealed he was overwhelmed by the prospect of chronicling his life. He told Reuters in November 2007: "It's a weird thing. You make a lot of records, write a lot of songs, but all of a sudden you go into a whole different vein, and it's a little bit scary to dive into."

Scott Weiland would still be married to former model Mary Forsberg if she had agreed to counseling when the couple was trying to save its marriage, according to the rock star. The Stone Temple Pilots' frontman claims he went out of his way to keep his family together, even agreeing to move out of his home and live in a "s**hole apartment" to give his wife some space.
But in a new Spin magazine interview, the rocker claims his ex wasn't as willing as he was. He says, "I didn't mind sacrificing to be able to see my kids all the time. But then I'd be watching TV there, and she'd walk out the bath, and it would just... freak me out. I don't know if she was trying to f**k with me or not."
"I would have stayed with her forever if she was willing to go to counseling.

When news broke earlier this week that a reformed Soundgarden will headline this year's Lollapalooza, it only enforced what we've known for months: 1990s alt-rock is ready to come back in a big way. Whether it's the reformation of that Seattle staple, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains or Courtney Love's Hole self, it's quite evident that current alt-rock acts like Vampire Weekend, Broken Bells, and perennial survivors of the decade - Pearl Jam - are about to get some company running the genre. The nostalgic '90's trip is currently on display on book shelves as well. Last winter, Mary Forsberg Weiland - the ex- of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland - released her autobiography entitled Fall to Pieces: A Memoir of Drugs, Rock 'n Roll and Mental Illness. The book explores the model's years...

Stone Temple Pilots was my favorite band for the longest time. Scott Weiland, the lead singer, was really attractive and I loved the lyrics, hard guitars, and sound of the band. I saw Stone Temple Pilots in December of 1996. It was my first concert and it was after Weiland's run-ins with the law and various drugs. This book was written by Weiland's ex-wife, mother of his children, and (former) partner in crime.

Addiction is a human phenomenon nearly every mortal being deals with. Be it gratifying or painful, harmless or self-destructive we’re all shackled to something we all perceive as fulfilling to our lives.
Drug addiction gets the largest focus of concentration in the media. Sad to say, journalists and tabloidists keep their talons sharpened and borne to pounce when a story of a fallen glittering personality develops. To say the media has had a field day with the story of Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver vocalist Scott Weiland and his former wife, one-time model Mary Forsberg Weiland is a gross understatement.
Mary has bravely put their story on public view to set the record straight about her crash and burn marriage as well as to paint a humanistic view of drug abuse—in her case, an addiction flamed by a personality disorder. Her book Fall to Pieces is as close...
