- Milo Hamilton was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2000.

- Hospitalized after a heart attack on October 7, 2007. His son, Mark Hamilton, was there when he had the attack. Underwent angioplasty to clear an artery. Scheduled hip replacement surgery on his left hip will be delayed for six to twelve weeks.
- He served in the Navy during WWII. He hosted his first broadcast for Armed Forces Radio on the island of Guam at age 18 as a Navy Seebee.
- He was the radio announcer for Hank Aaron's record-breaking 715th home run on April 8, 1974.
