Olowokandi's brother, Soji Abbidemi Olowokandi, was indicted by a
federal grand jury in Kansas City, Missouri for identity theft. On 7
May 2003, Olowokandi allegedly bought a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer from a
dealership in St. Louis using a forged Ohio driver's license with the
identity of a Natural Resources Conservation Service employee.
Investigators reported that at least 14 NRCS employees may have been
victimized by the scheme. (28 January 2004)
