Production has wrapped in Montana on father-son survival drama Walking Out, starring Matt Bomer (Magic Mike Xxl), Bill Pullman (Independence Day) and Josh Wiggins (Max).
Written and directed by Alex and Andrew Smith, who teamed on Ryan Gosling sports drama The Slaughter Rule (2002) and Winter In The Blood (2010), in Walking Out Wiggins plays a city teen who travels to Montana to go hunting with his estranged father only for the strained trip to become a battle for survival when they encounter a grizzly bear.
Producers are Brunson Green of Harbinger Pictures and Laura Ivey of Co-Op Entertainment, with cooperation from the State of Montana’s Big Sky Film Grant. The Salt Company is handling international sales and will introduce the project at the upcoming Efm.

Just ahead of its Saturday premiere in the SXSW Visions section, Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions (Spwa) have acquired all international rights on writer-director Jack Plotnick's comedy 'Space Station 76.' The film stars Patrick Wilson, Liv Tyler and "2001: A Space Odyssey" star Keir Dullea. Domestic rights are still up for grabs via Kevin Iwashina and Zac Bright of Preferred Content. Space Station 76 is a comedic drama about a group of people (and several robots) living on a space station in a 1970’s-version of the future. When a new Assistant Captain arrives, she inadvertently ignites tensions among the crew, prompting them to confront their darkest secrets. Barely contained lust, jealousy, and anger all bubble to the surface, becoming just as dangerous as the asteroid that’s heading right for them. Liv Tyler, Matt Bomer, Patrick Wilson and Marisa Coughlan have all just finished shooting Jack Plotnick's sci-fi dramedy "Space Station 76" says Heat Vision.
The film was shot over three weeks in Los Angeles on the quiet and is set in a 1970's interpretation of a space station in the future. Tyler is the newly arrived assistant captain causing tension amongst the crew.
Wilson plays the bitter and suicidal captain, Bomer a robotic handed technician, and Coughlan the technician's manipulative wife. Jerry O’Connell, Kali Rocha and Kylie Rogers also star.
Ed Parks, Rachel Ward, Dan Burks, Joel Michaely and Katherine Ann McGregor are producing.
