Chase Novak‘s horror novel Breed is getting an adaptation. Summit Entertainment is behind the project, and according to the latest reports Burr Steers is already on board to write and direct the whole thing. Horror thriller is always a good choice (I guess), but I must admit that Steers -part of the story is quite a surprise. I mean, this man directed 17 Again and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, wtf?
Anyway, the most important thing is that Breed definitey has a potential. Novak’s novel centers on a couple who undergo an experimental fertility treatment that turns them into bloodthirsty savages, leading them on a desperate quest to find a cure.
Chase Novak aka Scott Spencer has written 11 novels, and he’s probably best known for his best-seller Endless Love, which has sold over 2 million copies and garnered him a nomination for the National Book Award.
