Going out of the box is probably one of the best and yet, one of the rarest strategies that filmmakers and showmakers use. However, that wasn’t the case with Teen Titans which made the show very popular, especially among kids.
A still from Teen Titans
With its premiere on July 19, 2003, Teen Titans entered into the world of cartoons with a bang. The show premiered on Cartoon Network channel with its first two seasons also available on Kids’ WB. It immediately became a popular show with its funny and interesting characters. Major credit behind its success surely goes to its creator and developer, Glen Murakami.
In fact, due to a big step taken by Murakami regarding the show, the entire world saw and recognized a few characters of the show who were earlier mildly known.

The “Teen Titans” superhero team appearing in numerous DC Comics titles since 1964, is being developed into a live-action feature film, to be written by Ana Nogueira (“Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow”):
“…as the group's name indicates, the members are teenage superheroes, many of whom have acted as sidekicks to DC's premier superheroes in the ‘Justice League’.
“The original team later becomes known as the ‘Titans’ when the members age out of their teenage years…
“…while the ‘Teen Titans’ name is continued by subsequent generations of young heroes.
“First appearing in 1964 in ‘The Brave and the Bold’ #54, the team was formed by ‘Kid Flash’ (‘Wally West’), ‘Robin’ (‘Dick Grayson’), and ‘Aqualad’ (‘Garth’)…
“…before adopting the name ‘Teen Titans’ in issue #60 with the addition of ‘Wonder Girl’ (‘Donna Troy’) to their ranks…”

DC fans have several discussions about characters across different franchises; some are pretty valid across global communities. One joint discussion in communities is Donna troy and the mismatched portrayal of her by Connor Leslie in the Titans show. Some liked how she was in the television series, claiming they enjoyed it, while other fans disagreed. Nevertheless, some mismatches are somewhat obvious when comparing the comics and the famous TV series fans love. So let us check out the inconsistencies we have observed over the television series and comic reading. Observable Inconsistencies Between Comic And TV Series Donna Troy Inconsistencies in

After three tumultuous outings, DC's "Titans" train continues to chug along in full force. Self-proclaimed as a new beginning for the series, the fourth season moves towards a more consistent future as a superhero show and quasi-family drama. As per usual, a new location and set of villains threaten to uproot the titular superhero team. But the supernatural reigns supreme this time around, delivering a blend of magic and horror more devious than the last three seasons combined. Throw in a few daddy issues, and you have a well-received fourth season. However, that's not all. A fan-favorite character will make their return sooner rather than later.
The fourth season of "Titans" looks to turn the page on the long-standing series, but it is still not afraid to pull from the past. The origins of Mother Mayhem (Franka Potente) and Brother Blood (Joseph Morgan) are distinctly tied to the events of the very first season.

The live-action Titans series has been flawed from the get-go by presenting us with a Dick Grayson that the writers woefully misunderstand. There is no comic book creator who ever depicted Grayson in this manner so it sets the wrong tone. Its low-budget when created for the short-lived DC Universe streaming service didn’t help.
And yet, it has staggered through three seasons, with a fourth now streaming on HBO Max. Just last week, Warner Home Entertainment released Titans: The Complete Third Season on Blu-ray (no DVD or 4K).
We pick up from the end of season two with the team mourning the death of Donna Troy (Conor Leslie), they are jarred to discover that now Jason Todd (Curran Walters) has been murdered by the Joker. Titans Season 4 is fast approaching, and HBO Max unveiled the first look at some new characters.
As previously reported, Joseph Morgan will debut as Sebastian Blood, aka Brother Blood, in the fourth season.
The first look photo shows Morgan in action as the new villain who will surely cause a lot of problems for the Titans.
Brother Blood is described as an “introverted man with a strong intelligence and a hidden, darker nature.”
Franka Potente is set to play May Bennett, aka Mother Mayhem.
The character is described as a “natural leader who always carries the threat of violence with her."
"[She is] a predator in human form with an unfettered belief in her mission in the world.”
Cool costume, right?
Lisa Ambalavanar to play Jinx.
Described as a “quick-witted criminal longer and a master of dark magic with a joy for manipulating others and creating chaos while doing it.”

And there you have it.
DC had been pushing this event more than most, promising that it would be of huge significance going forward. Well, we’ve heard that quite a few times of late, so it’s fair to say that the majority of fandom was unimpressed. Three issues in, we were all thinking this is decent, entertaining stuff, but not really more than that. Then issue four comes out and three words on the cover change everything.
‘..on Infinite Earths’.
This, we are now told, is the direct sequel to the iconic Crisis. The other Crisis-this and Crisis-that books that sold millions were but detours along the way it seems. Everything we have seen so far now takes on a different light. Maybe there won’t be a return to the expected status quo after all this after all.

Titans Season 4 gets underway on HBO Max later this year.
As the promotional trail for the series begins, we have some exciting casting news.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Titus Welliver has joined the cast as Lex Luthor.
Showrunner Greg Walker told the outlet that this iteration of Lex "has a very sensitive, thoughtful approach to evil and power."
Naturally, this sudden arrival will have a big effect on Connor.
As viewers are well aware, Connor was created from Superman and Lex's DNA.
“He’s explored his Superman self, but he has not really explored his Lex self,” Walker told EW.
“What does that mean when you do?”
Connor has been struggling to come to grips with a life away from a lab, regularly being put in the firing line.
The tricky part of Lex's arrival is that he could start to gravitate towards the dark side, assuming this iteration...

George Pérez, a legend of DC Comics frequently considered one of the best comic book artists of all time, died Friday from pancreatic cancer. He was 67.
Last December, Pérez announced that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The news of his death was shared by his close friend, Constance Eza, who posted a statement on Pérez’s Facebook page and her personal Twitter.
“Everyone knows George’s legacy as a creator,” Eza’s statement reads. “His art, characters and stories will be revered for years to come. But, as towering as that legacy is, it pales in comparison to the legacy of the man George was. George’s true legacy is his kindness. It’s the love he had for bringing others joy — and I hope you all carry that with you always.”
Thank you. All of you, for the love and support you have shown George through all of this.

Putting Rachel and Donna on the backburner for a while was the best decision.
Titans Season 3 Episode 9 brought the two characters back into the fold, and it left us with a lot to unpack, so let's dig in.
Rachel is a young woman who struggled to harness her abilities throughout the first two seasons.
The trip to Themyscira was important to give her some much-needed perspective on her abilities, and the constant plans to resurrect Donna proving fruitless solidified the fact to Rachel that this was not going to be an easy process.
It would have been nice to have seen more of Themyscira, but given the context of the story being told, it made sense.
The location seemed as tranquil as other locations, but I especially enjoyed the struggle to resurrect the dead.
If it was an easy process, too many people would be back in the land of the living,...

I’ve always loved the Crime Syndicate characters. They first appeared on the scene in Justice League of America #29 way back in 1964, created by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky. They were from Earth-3, a sort of Mirror Universe bad version of ‘our’ Jla, just without the Star Trek goatees. It was essentially a ‘what if our heroes came from a bad planet?’ What would they be like. Well, Ultraman (Superman), Owlman (Batman), Superwoman (Wonder Woman), Johnny Quick (The Flash), and Power Ring (Green Lantern) sure showed us. They were bad to the bone. They were also entertaining villains, and I collected all their appearances all the way up to their heroic sacrifice in Crisis on Infinite Earths. They have of course returned many times since, in various new incarnations post-Crisis, post Zero Hour, post Infinite Crisis,...

How do you kill a superhero? That was the question we wanted to pose to writer Tim Sheridan who, in his first issue of Future State: Teen Titans, kills a metric ton of famed caped crusaders. Part of Infinite Frontier, the massive publishing initiative that’s rewriting the (possible) future of the DC Universe, the series begins with a massacre. But it also sets up a mystery: what happened at Titans Tower? And why are some of our favorite heroes dead?
“The only thing that interests me is giant, big, sweeping, earth-shattering consequences. And the best way to understand and feel those consequences is with deaths that are either meaningful or meaningless,” Sheridan explains. “I think that is one of the hardest things we have to come to terms with as human beings is when something like what happens to Donna Troy and Miguel Montez happens at the Academy, it feels so meaningless.

This article contains Wonder Woman 1984 spoilers. We have a spoiler free review here.
There’s a lot going on throughout Wonder Woman 1984‘s (very long) runtime. At one point in the film we learn the origin of Diana’s Golden Eagle armor, and that it once belonged to a legendary Amazon warrior named Asteria, who stayed behind to fight the armies of men so that her sisters could escape to Themyscira. Diana mentions that she has tried to find Asteria since she arrived in “our” world, but so far hasn’t had any luck. It’s presumed that Asteria is lost to history.
Until that mid-credits scene, of course, when we see a mysterious robed figure avert disaster in a crowded marketplace. When she turns to the camera, we learn it’s not just Asteria, but a beloved figure in DC and pop culture history, and one who could have...

If it wasn’t for Covid-19, we’d be enjoying new episodes of Titans right now. Sadly, however, the show was a victim of unlucky timing, with the shoot scheduled to begin as the virus hit and lockdowns got underway. All plans were quickly put on ice and production was delayed until the fall. Now, though, Titans is officially back before the cameras, with cinematographer Boris Mojsovski sharing a photo (see below) of himself with Nightwing actor Brenton Thwaites from the set and calling him “one of my favorite movie stars.”
Season 3 marks big changes for Titans both on and off the screen. It’ll premiere on HBO Max rather than DC Universe and will see major evolutions for the characters. For example, Thwaites’ Dick Grayson will be graduating from Robin to Nightwing, which will have him don an updated costume and fight with new weapons. In an interview with Collider last summer,...

Production on Titans season 3 is underway right now, with the DC TV series continuing to expand its storyline in exciting ways, such as Jason Todd becoming Red Hood. It definitely feels like another spinoff – following Doom Patrol – or maybe even several could be in the works, then, seeing as the show has already built up such a full version of the DC universe, and one that could be happening is a solo vehicle for Wonder Girl, which may lead to a major Dceu crossover.

Pennyworth Season 2 is coming soon to Epix, continuing to fulfill the show’s touted remit as a prequel to the Batman mythos, notably with Alfred’s eventual arrival in Gotham City.
Having debuted on July 28, 2019, Pennyworth is the product of creator/executive producer/writer Bruno Heller and executive producer/director Danny Cannon (CSI franchise), and served as a quick reunion of key personnel from another Batman prequel series, Fox’s Gotham, which had just ended its five-season run that April. However, any associations end there, since Pennyworth is set in London in the 1960s, therefore—after doing some quick math—eliminating the notion of any continuity connection with the contemporary-set Gotham. Indeed, Pennyworth turned out to be a colorful crime series with swinging ‘60s aesthetics and a slightly over-the-top charm that’s not bound by its nevertheless-looming pre-Batman status.

Titans is currently on a pandemic-enforced hiatus. The second season finale aired at the end of November 2019 and, had things gone to plan, we’d be enjoying the third season now.
Sadly, though, the cast didn’t even make it back on set before Covid-19 hit, which delayed production from the spring until sometime in October 2020. This means that the upcoming episodes – which will be the first to premiere on HBO Max rather than DC Universe – aren’t expected to land until Fall 2021. But there’s light at the end of the tunnel for Titans fans, as it appears that the show is continuing for some time yet.
The news comes from FandomWire, who are reporting that HBO Max has officially renewed the series for a fourth season. Though we advise taking this with a grain of salt, in a way it makes sense. After all, successful streaming networks need...

DC Universe’s Titans series is maddeningly uneven. Its second season, out now on disc for those unwilling to buy the service, is perhaps slightly better than its inaugural outing but it’s still a mess.
Let’s start with the fact that everyone behind the camera doesn’t understand Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites), so they depict him as bitter and angry, lost and without a clear sense of self. He was never like that in the comics and this is jarring and not terribly well thought through. During the season he is haunted by the vision of Bruce Wayne (Ian Glen), who seems far less brooding than one would expect an aging Batman to be.
The final episode shot for season one is used to open season two as Dick, Donna Troy (Conor Leslie), Hank Hall (Alan Ritchson), Gar Logan (Ryan Potter), Kory Anders (Anna Diop), Jason Todd (Curran Walters...
