Born and raised in Manhattan, New York, Taylor Rivera is simply a
creative "tsunami". Molded in the vain of Roberto Rodriguez, Rivera
writes, directs, and edits his own projects. Rivera started his first
stint in production in 1993 at the Montel Williams Show. In 1997,
Rivera created and directed the #1 rated, international magazine
television series, Trend TV (1997) which aried on ABC-5 in Southeast
Asia. In 2002, Rivera wrote and produced the hilarious short film, Code
Blue (2002) which was well received at the Cannes Film Festival, First
Glance Festival, and the New York International Independent Film and
Video Festival. In 2003, Rivera wrote, shot, directed and edited Sound
Factory (2003), a documentary that takes a provocative look at the
underground drug and club culture in 1999 New York City. The film
received critical acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival. Rivera recently
teamed up with rising Hollywood producer, Jeanette Volturno of
Catchlight Films to direct several commercial, music video and feature
film projects in the upcoming year.
